Hi,
Merry winter solstice everyone.
I’m going to be traveling for the holidays and unable to post frequently. I'll be back by January 5th.
Until then, I'll do my best to keep the game moving.
Best,

Yes, but with the mist hampering visibility, they'll just see the direction he departs in, rather than his destination. The sky is partly cloudy, there's a full moon, but mist still lingers at ground level. Visibility in the hermit's wood is about 60 feet. In the cornfield around the windmill, visibility was 100 feet. So they'll likely just see which direction Allard goes when he reaches the main north-south road (and whether or not he reaches it).OGRE MAGE wrote:Is it possible for Sephus and friends to fly up to the tree tops and just watch where the man moves off to next?
Is that what you want?
Or do you want to cast Speak With Animals and have Sephus tail Allard? If yes, please give him IC direction that includes this info, and any other instructions you want to:

Where should he find you when he's done?
What should he do if the subject goes indoors?
Does the murder of crows follow Sephus or you?

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
What do you think I should do?
The duration for SWA limits it greatly for situations like this, forcing you to either cast it twice or wait around for the answer until you cast it again.
I think I will skip casting it (twice) and just have them observe for now.

Hi,
The group needs a new marching order; one that excludes Elden Vodarte and includes Avril Hollysword.
We'll need an order for both single file and double file, please. Thanks.

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
I didn't put a ton of thought into this, so feel free to suggest/make revisions, but what about the following for the side-by-side order:Inferno wrote:The group needs a new marching order; one that excludes Elden Vodarte and includes Avril Hollysword.
Telkis Grothnak
Pelias Avril
Ingrid Mouser
Hoom Bo
The single-file order could be determined by placing one member from each row before the other and lining them up:
1st and 2nd: Telkis or Grothnak
3rd and 4th: Pelias or Avril
5th and 6th: Ingrid or Mouser
7th and 8th: Hoom or Bo

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Pelias has more HP and a lower AC than Grothnak, who (I think) can attack with his halberd in the second rank behind Telkis, so it might be better to put Pelias in the front rank when lined up two abreast. The back of the order loses Protection from Evil that way, but hopefully it's not as crucial in the back.
I'm okay with either order, but we might be able to get more attacks in and better defense with Grothnak lining up right behind Telkis.

Fyi, Behind the inn, Hoom's failed attempt to open the locked window will take one minute.
And, single file marching order looks like this?
Telkis
Grothnak
Pelias
Avril
Ingrid
Mouser
Hoom
Bo
And double file, like this?
Telkis Pelias
Grothnak Avril
Ingrid Mouser
Hoom Bo
Thanks.

And double file, like this?

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
We can swap Ingrid and Avril in both orders,
because Ingrid has more HP and only close-combat weapons, while Avril also sports a bow.

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Pelias would be happy (and honored) to lead in single file, unless Telkis' gnomy powers will come in handy.
