This forum is for users to make requests of the admins. This includes starting new campaigns, archiving old campaigns, adding player sub-forums to existing campaigns, and anything else that the user cannot do and must be completed by admins.

Re: Are there any games that should be archived?

#1 Post by GreyWolfVT »

There are still some abandoned games out there that haven't been "cleaned up"

Into the Unknown (1ed/2ed) - Ullek (Hasn't had time or logged in since March 9th)

RANDUNSAN! 5E Pulp Sandbox - Mister-Kent (Hasn't logged on since April 15th) not entirely sure but it appears to be abandoned at this point.

Island of The Forgotten Gods (AS&SH 2e) - Tamerlaine (Hasn't logged on since March 5th) not sure but appears to be abandoned.

Across the Known World (B/X retro) - thirdkingdom just announced he hasn't got a lot of time to keep the game running and is closing the game up.
thirdkingdom wrote:Hey guys, I hate to do this, but I think I'm going to call this game. I thought I was going to have time to run it but I'm just overwhelmed at work and at home right now, and can't put the time into it that you guys deserve. Thanks for helping me playtest some stuff, though!

That's all looks like otherwise the boards are pretty well cleared up. Thanks admin team :)

I confirmed thirdkingdom's intent and will take care of archiving it. I will also archive Mister-Kent's game as I'm aware of his disappearance (including an unread PM from me addressed to him going back to 'Sun Apr 22, 2018 2:31 pm').

Per what you shared in our conversation in Google Chat, I will also go ahead and archive Ullek's game as well.

The moderators (read: Ethan) have a process for dealing with games that seem abandoned, so Tamerlaine's game will be discussed/confirmed in the Moderator forum and dealt with accordingly.

Thanks for bringing them to our attention.

These requests have been completed.

It's probably safe to archive Tamerlaine's game as well, but we may want to confirm this before officially taking the action.

Thanks, again.

This is unfortunately true. There is a list that keeps track of occurrences. :( I don't like making lists like this, but apparently it is necessary...

Having your name on that list is a factor in determining if you can set up a new game on USS.

Hi,

You can archive Paths of the Damned (Zweihander). Per the post from Bitter Dice in his OOC thread he is unable to continue the game.

Please Archive the Rise of Smaug. Second try at getting Burning Wheel off the ground is a bust. We will let it lie fallow for a while again.

Not completely accurate, because he's posted in private forums. You just can't see that information. So it's just been almost a month since last post; still, I'll check in with him and see if he is going to continue his game.

I'll check with sastaz. I've no idea if there was any discussion of absence since it's all in Swedish. That's a first for me...

Good work Sean!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.
