The large group starts to reform into two smaller party's. Doubtful rejoins the back group of Burly, Keilif, and Jonas. He suggests a valid system of checking two rooms at once.
Burly pushes the corner door open to reveal what was obviously the kitchen. The room is dirty and damp, with patches of grey mold and cobwebs all over the floor, walls, and ceiling. In the corner to your left is some cooking equipment with a chimney above it. Next to it, under the window, is a cracked and discolored stone sink. To the right of the sink a small closed wooden cupboard that is fixed to the wall. Against the far wall is a closed door and another rotting, rickety stairway that leads up to the second floor. Dusty broken dishes and other garbage is strewn about the room.
The central group of Jervis, Ermulf, Alec, and Ben look to the brash half-orc, waiting for his next move. That's when Vhing unfortunately discovers the hard way, the origin of the shuffling noises heard earlier. He bashes the locked western door open with his hammer, shouting out to anyone inside. He is immediately greeted with the sounds of twanging bowstrings and three horribly ugly creatures gurgling to each other in some hideous language.
The trio of horrible goblins is positioned behind the remains of an old dining room table that is turned on its side to create makeshift cover for them. Behind them, one of the dirty windows is partially opened. They catch the aggressive Vhing totally by surprise when all three of them fire their crude short bows at him at near point blank range.
The first arrow sails wide and bounces off the now opened door. The second and third shots fly straight at the half-orc. With a loud thud, one unbelievably sticks into the wooden handle of his hammer. Before he can even think about reveling in his dumb luck, the last arrow pierces him directly through his throat. Blood and spittle pour out of both wounds as he drops to his knees. He coughs out something unintelligible, spitting blood towards his assailants, right before he looses consciousness. He begins to fall backwards, still bleeding profusely, with the arrow sticking through his neck. (4 damage/unconscious)
Seeing the others behind him and anticipating a quick charge, the goblins drop their bows and pull out crude spears. They stay put behind the table.
