It's funny to see different interpretations of names.

I'll NPC Archer.

Have a good break.

Just want to say that tomorrow and Saturday, my two published short stories will be free on Amazon.

The Buick Eight

Crazy Moon

And my newly re-released dark fantasy is at $2.99! Rebirths

In case anyone is curious about a sequel to "Fun & Games," it's in the works. It's already substantially longer than F&G, and I still have a ways to go. I expect it to be twice as long when it's done. Paula gets to go with Harold to Arkham this time, and they team up with a pair of Joshua's investigators who are posing as a mobster and his lounge singer. One minor scene is based on a dream I had after reading Monster Hunter International.

My church is starting a boy's outreach called Royal Rangers (similar to Boy Scouts). Since it was my idea to join, I've been named commander. Reading through the leader's material, I started to get a story idea about a Royal Ranger patrol on a campout that earns their Eldritch Lore Merit badges.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into those.

Boy scouts and Cthulhu - that is a new twist. The Eagle Scout is a cult leader? :D

What was your take on the Alan Moore story?

ybn1197 will be playing Saul Rabinowitz, time permitting.

Sniperknight let me know by PM that real life issues have swallowed up his time. He may come back, but in the interim I'll NPC Dr. Morgan unless another player joins.

More like they'll find something on a camp out from times unknown.

That got weird. I can it was an inspiration to the game. Very enjoyable. Thank you for sending it. I'm glad no one came behind me while I was reading it. Someone did that when I first read "The Dunwhich Horror." I startle easily.

I wasn't even aware of NecronomiCon. It looks great, it has a pretty impressive lineup of events and games.

Makes me wish I lived closer to that part of the world, I'd be there in a flash.

Happy birthday, HPL.

I'm not close enough to attend either.

Grog, if you can, stay in this Providence hotel that was a Masonic Temple in the days of HPL: viewtopic.php?p=176549#p176549

But be sure to pack a nightlight.

Have fun!

"I see," he says, with a hint of disappointment. "Would you have recommendations for such books? Perhaps I'll look at your stock. My name is Raymond Randolph." He hands Reginald an introduction card with a phone number and P.O. box address in Arkham, MA.

"I have an interest in the esoteric myself," says Isaiah. "What moves you to explore that topic?"

Christ. Nicely done, Grog. :)
When does Archer remember last seeing the time-traveling Raymond Randolph?!

Thanks. Archer last saw Dr. Randolph with the other Miskatonic men in Instanbul. He assumes Dr. Randolph went on the expedition, but wasn't in the fleeing return group. During the month's travel home, it can be assumed that Dr.'s Clark and/or Morgan told Archer how Dr. Randolph disappeared touching the trapezohedron crystal on top of the metal box. Archer glimpsed Dr. Morgan holding said crystal on the retreat from Mt. Latmos.

As to time travel or teleportation or other preposterous theories, I'll remain silent ;) except to point out the multi-meaning title of the thread in question.

Universe. Nice.

Skeptical, amnesic Archer will assume it's just another Raymond Randolph, perhaps his father.
But he might mention Randolph's father to Professor Clarke in passing, if they meet again.

I'm still wading through those heady threads. Once I'm done, I'll post IC.
Have fun at NecronomiCon.

I'm on vacation and should be posting again Thursday.

We have a new player, Kaithulu, who'll be taking up BOI Agent William Mulder. Please welcome Kaithulu.

Yes this William Mulder is the great grandfather of Fox Mulder of the FBI. Fox's middle name, as X-Files fans may know, is William.

While the Shunned House seems the next destination, do not feel it has to be. There are several locales and individuals mentioned in Carcosa's letters, and in other strands of investigation. You guys can steer the investigation as you like, even if separate of the BOI. I don't want things to feel too railroaded. Though this is not to say that the Shunned House isn't a logical next step.

Welcome, Kaithulu!

You have the grandfather of Fox Mulder. I'm playing the great-grandfather a character from stories I write. Enjoy the games.
