Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
Well, I was aware of the design for this scenario and fully expected to run a separate storyline until it connected with the storylines of other players. I did however expect that they would then join and run parallel, not just cross and continue off each on its own tangent. Except for a very few posts, I have been interacting almost exclusively with NPCs so far and although the GM is doing a brilliant job, I must say I am hoping for a bit more player-to-player interaction going forward.
I want to be very clear though: I do not wish for a heavier GM hand in forcing us together - that would no longer be role-playing. All I am hoping for is for others to include me at the (virtual) gaming table of their own free will.

Thanks.
As R, I and B have realized the seriousness and extant of the cult, it would seem valuable to have assistance.

Biltmore Hotel, huh? Why am I not surprised to find it on blogs such as Ghost of Providence?
Grognardsw, I love the amount of detail that goes into this game!!
Waiting for Eddie Sharpe, let's join those narrative lines!

Thanks.
A majority of the street and people names are drawn from real Providence or Lovecraft sources.

I stayed in Providence once for business. The hotel had been a masonic temple in Lovecraft's time, and the hotel bar was freemason/illuminati themed. It was an interesting stay.Grognardsw wrote:Thanks.A majority of the street and people names are drawn from real Providence or Lovecraft sources.

The eye symbol in the bar looks suspiciously like...Inferno wrote:I stayed in Providence once for business. Though I'm not keen on the Commercialization of Cthulhu, I couldn't resist...

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
FYI, as you may have noted from the occasional date/place lines on top of some posts, about three days in game time have passed for the Providence characters. So though it may feel like it's been a while, you've actually had a fair amount happen in three days and arrived at some hypothesis (if not conclusions) about what is going on.
For those on the cruise ship, about two weeks have gone by (from Arkham pre-ship activities to the week on board, with imminent departure in Celais, France.) Their timeline is two months earlier than the Providence groups.

Re: Howie's Speakeasy - "Come on in"
Thank you all kindly. My character, Dr. Harold Matthers, can be seen here. He's a friend of Reginald Wilkins and has already run into the mythos once. His plan is to come back to Providence and show Reginald a book of strange poetry he's found.
