Re: Ch. 2: Highway to Hell?
The skeletons grab and claw with bare hands, but none penetrate your defenses. Odilo smites one with his staff; Risdac slaps another so hard it flies across the room into the wall, where it smashes into a gajillion pieces. The black-skinned warrior Tanner also steps in to attack—unfortunately, that step is on a lost hipbone, and he falls on his own tailbone.
"Stop!" yells Hallagad. "Hammer time!" Thunder claps ring out as the paladin utterly obliterates the remaining two skeletons.
After the ringing in your ears subsides, all is quiet. The skeletons are naught but scattered bits of bone. The boats, alas, are in little better shape.

Malibran picks through the splinters of what remains of the boats. Any thing interesting? If not, then he'll ask "Back to the statue?"

Not unless wood is interesting.ravenn4544 wrote:Malibran picks through the splinters of what remains of the boats. Any thing interesting?

Tanner
Muttering unprintable phrases, Tanner stands up, surveying the wreckage. Well done, gentlemen! I'm sorry I wasn't able to help.
Risdac, do you think you could reach one of the boats in the other room?

Odilo ponders for a moment "Perhaps if one of us has that splendid mend spell we could fix at least one boat."

Malibran considers. "I have a potion of levitation ability that could be useful. I could also, given time, attempt to reach Pholtus for a prayer that will animate the dead that could be used to manipulate the skeletal tower to lower a boat safely. That is, of course, no guarantee."

Risdac Egargi
I will try to remove a boat or two before they fall in the next room. Unfortunately, I do not have any spells that can repair the smashed boats.

Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Xale Mav; Dwarven Warrior-Priest of Dalt
Xale seems to snap out of a long fugue he had been in; it was probably the pain from the wounds that had done it....
Closing his eyes and holding his Holy Symbol, he utters a prayer to Cure Serious Wounds on himself....
OOC: At work and can't access the Dice Roller....I can either do it tonight when I get home or if you are so inclined Mr. DM, feel free to do the honors

Re: Ch. 2: Highway to Hell?
Xale, molested by the skeletons at the seeming exclusion of all else, utters a prayer to cure his wounds. In this place, so far from his home or his god, he receives only minor comfort. Xale, CSW: [2d8+1] = 4+1 = 5
Meanwhile, you consider ways to get boats. Malibran ponders levitating a boat or animating the dead in hopes that the skeletons could be made to lower the boat safely. Odilo proffers that a mending spell would be helpful right now. Risdac the ugly giant mage replies that he has no such spell. But he has something better: size.
Risdac walks into the other room, accompanied by the rest of the party (we'll assume for simplicity and having a light to see by). The rowboats are held 20' in the air—easily within the grasp of the 14' tall Risdac. He reaches up and lifts one of the boats over his head. The skeletons remain in place, arms still upraised where the boat had been.

Malibran "Well done, Master Risdac," he says with a smile.
OOC: would the whole party fit in one boat? or do we need with the size or Risdac?

Re: Ch. 2: Highway to Hell?
Each boat can hold six medium-sized characters. Risdac could fit in a boat with room for one of two others.

As always, the simplest answer is the best. Good on you, Risdac!

Malibran will help drag/carry the boats. "Are we to cross the pool, then? Perhaps one boat crosses first to secure the other side."

Rool Diov
Rool helps push a boat with one arm while holding the illuminating coin with the other.
