Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Of course he would.
But Telkis is better armored than Pelias, has more HP, and having the gnome in front lets Grothnak attack from behind him (I think). Plus, having Pelias third in line maximizes coverage of his protection aura.

Yes. But fumbles will result in a chance to hit Telkis, rather than a random roll on the Fumble chart.Zhym wrote: having the gnome in front lets Grothnak attack from behind him (I think).

Grothnak is okay with that tradeoff. If small warrior doesn't want to get hit, small warrior should not get in way.

This is bound to end in tears. Tears over a bifurcated gnome.

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Hoom just closed it in my last post.
Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Great.
FYI's:
1) The ladder is just leaning against the wall. It's not secure.
2) Hoom knows the trapdoor was hidden under a rug in Bertram Beswill's bedroom.
3) There is another door into this chamber, as per the map posted here.
Thanks.

OCC: Is there any locking/barring devices on this side of the trap door? Is there a metal ring on the bottom side of the trap door in which could be tied to the ladder with rope to prevent it from opening from above?

Hey, guys. I've been trying to get to these forums, but I've been crushed at work this week. Will try to post tomorrow am, but if you need to move it along, please NPC Telkis as necessary.

Long Bo's lantern will eliminate the combat and movement restrictions I mentioned in the DM Notes spoiler.
Please also roll 1d12 in case you are successful, to show how many undead are affected. Thanks.
Also: I require line of sight between undead creatures and the holy symbol of a turning cleric. So either:
Fulci, please roll 1d20 to Turn Undead and link it to a post. You want to roll high.Fulci wrote:Ingrid Esthof, cleric
Ingrid nods to the Mouser, than steps forward, holding up her holy symbol, the tryskelion. The silver medallion starts to glow...
"Unholy soulless minions of darkness, in the name of Trithereon, I banish thee!"

Also: I require line of sight between undead creatures and the holy symbol of a turning cleric. So either:
- a) The ladder can get Ingrid above this crowded room.
or
b) Pelias fights alongside Telkis (with the combat effects described in the DM Notes of this post) so that Ingrid can attempt to Turn Undead from the second rank.
Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
I think Ingrid leaves the ladder free (so that Moogieye could escape), and she turns undead from the second rank. Does that put any restrictions on line of sight?Inferno wrote:Fulci, please roll 1d20 to Turn Undead and link it to a post. You want to roll high.

The roll (I will add it to my in-game post as well):

Re: Unspeakable Oaths (ooc and questions ll)
Hope Telkis doesn't mess up Fulci's turn attempt by trying to push the door closed. Just can't see him letting those things in willingly... he's brave, not dumb...
