Thanks, I archived it. It can always be restored later if the game is ever ready to resume.

Sadly, it seems like this one is also destined for the shelf.

Agreed.

I will archive it and, as always, it can be undone if/when the game is ready to be resumed.

For what it is worth, the following game may need to be archived. Been a month since the last post and the GM had said he was going to post about once a week, which hasn't occurred.

Yeah, I've been lax in keeping it updated. But it's not abandoned, just a bit neglected at the moment.

I can't keep that game updated at a reasonable rate these days, so would you please move it to the archive?

Thanks.

Sorry to hear that Zhym.
It has been archived for the time you need it in the future. ;)
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Please archive The Other Party. It's a "figure out some rules" that seemed to work, but I'm unlikely to get back to working on those rules any time soon.

At least none of the PCs killed themselves this go round...

Has it really been a month since I updated A Paladin in Hell? Yikes.

Still, I’d suggest that it would be good form to check with the DM of a game before proposing its closure in this thread.

Dave usually checks. I probably would too before archiving. :D
He's so dang fast though.

I appreciate the list. I will review the forums later tonight.

I always do a bit of research before simply moving anything. I think your game was brought up once before, and I checked with you.
rredmond wrote:Dave usually checks. I probably would too before archiving. :D

Again, I agree it's a good idea to check. I haven't even had a chance to look at the list yet, but if there's a game out there that is owned by a still-active player, it will almost certainly get left. Or I'll ping that user to ask at the very least.

If it's a situation where the user running the game has also been absent for a month or so, that's a bit different.

More on this tonight (hopefully).

Inferno wrote:Spring cleaning. These games haven't had a public post in 4 weeks or longer.
Let's step through these:
  • A Paladin in Hell (AD&D 1e)
    • Unless Zyhm says otherwise, we'll keep this one open. But, a note with intentions should be left in the game so the players aren't left stranded.
  • The Octagon (D&D)
    • I'm not sure about this one. The game stalled after the first edition concluded... and it may or may not go on. I will allow Monsieur Rose, who is still active, to confirm his plans.
  • Dave's Solo Play (5e)
    • This one is me. I would still like to give this solo play a shot, but finding the time to do so has been a bit problematic. Plus, there are other games I will probably want to invest in instead.

I will archive this one, and unarchive when needed.
  • The Forgotten (Kult: Divinity Lost)
    • drpete was last seen on March 31st. His last post in that game was on March 20th. Given the circumstances, I will move this one to the 'Archived Games' list instead of flagging it as abandoned. Hopefully drpete will be back.
  • Into The Darkenfold (C&C)
    • Ahlmzhad is still active on the boards, but it doesn't this game ever got off the ground. It will be archived for now, and can be restored later if/when Ahlmzhad establishes the desire to kick the game off, and prove they still have the player interest.
  • Orlando by Night (Vampire: The Masquerade (V20))
    • SeaSaltSong seems to still be checking in as their 'Last visited' date/time is recent, and has been changing. But their last post was on April 28th, and they have not been responding to private messages (I sent them on last Wednesday (5/13) that has not been read; and other users have reported to me the same status on PMs they've sent).

I feel like this one should be moved to the 'Abandoned Games' section. :(

After reading this comment more closely, I just want to point out, from an Admin perspective, Inferno's staying on top of these ignored or abandoned games has been extremely helpful, and we encourage for it to continue. From Inferno or anyone.

I'll also clarify that games reported in this list by other users is not a request that the games be canceled or closed. It's simply bringing these inactive games to our attention, for our consideration.

SeaSaltSong is streaming Majora's Mask at this very moment, so she's at least all right, if anyone was worried.

I did notice that SeaSaltSong listed their Twitch handle in their signature, so I wasn't overly concerned from a health standpoint after managing to catch them live once or twice of the last week or so. It's also what led me to fall on the side of abandonment.

Not everyone may have caught their website, though, so thanks for sharing.

Please Archive "Athens has Fallen" - hopefully we will resume once all the players are again available and motivated. It was definitely fun while it lasted! - (even with absolutely no combat)
