"Ugly and nasty indeed Tella. But without it we wouldn't know true beauty. The creature looks occupied and not threatening us. We should leave it to its meal."

Roseheart stares blankly at it,"What the hell is it?"

Garl answer back over his shoulder "My mother-in-law."

Roseheart cackles quietly, "Amen brother!"

It doesn't seem to have noticed you guys yet.

Gael, you notice that something might be sewn into the leather if the shield. Something small...

[ylinett]

Garl thinks...that would be a heck of a sneaky trap, better check first. If no trap is evident he will attempt to extricate the item.

After checking for traps, you are able to slit the leather carefully but fairly quick, and pull forth a gleaming silver key!

Very good. I suppose there are no licks about. Maybe recheck the other stuff in the room. Once the party decides if they are going to fight or move on Garl will either hide in the shadows for a backstabbing opportunity or slink down the the next spot hiding in shadows and moving silently along the way. Once there check for traps and then head back and report.

Isabella closes her eyes tightly and chokes back the rising bile in her throat, trying to blot out the images of the monstrosity. She grits her teeth and swallows a few times, keeping her lantern high. Taking a few deep breaths, she looks to her feet and opens her eyes.

Tella - Mage

Tella will stay near Isabella: Rest on me if you need. If I start talking funny and making odd motions get away though. Best to eat a bit of something and let it come back up. Might clean you out a bit..

Isabella nods and asks Tella, "Reach into the right pocket on my pack. There should be a biscuit and leftover piece of fish in there. Fetch it for me? And then stand back. The smell alone will probably do it. Gods, I hate getting puke in my hair!"

Darkmane:

Isabella will try and eat the fish sandwich and barf it up, hoping it will ease her stomach as Tella suggests.

As you back away, Tella reaching for the fish sandwich, Isabella's eyes find the rotten foot. Then all the smells of the dungeon overwhelm her and she spills her guts, violently.

Some of you continue to search the room, but Roseheart is still watching the bulky thing in the corridor. It just started moving toward the group. You have found anything more than the silver key.

There is a door out of this room, and other than the southern corridor there is also a twisting path that almost heads back parallel with the way you came. Vek checks it out quick and sees that only thirty feet away is a beaching asrea with three doors, steps leading up, and another door open and ajar with steps leading down behind it!

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

"This is wisdom," croaks the grim warrior.

"This way," Vek grunts as he moves through the other door, shield and sword ready for more bloody work.

Vek are you leading the team toward the stairs that go up and down?

Does anybody second Vek? If so, any other moves before vacating this room of debris?

Garl will ask Vek (and everyone) to wait. He wants to listen at each of the other doors and then check for traps first.

Isabella hacks and spits and then hacks and spits some more. "Anybody got any water? I really need to wash out my mouth. I promise my lips won't touch the spout."
"Tella, tell me the truth, do I have puke in my hair?"
