Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Mira quickly produces a shard of yellow-tinted glass and whispers a verse, waving the glass in front of her closed eyes. The shard simply fades away, as if it were naught but an illusion, and when the Apparitionist opens her eyes, they appear to be covered by a layer of yellow glassy material.
Detect Illusion.
It may not show me anything, but perhaps it will show us all something. Get ready to be hidden.

Wyntar uncharacteristically starts digging thru his pack and pulls out his spell book.
Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Xano- Something is attacking him a yellow mist. He has regained control of his flight for now.

Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Halo strings his little bow and waits while Mira begins to cast another strange incantation. Here eyes transform disturbingly, but she detects no illusions in the immediate area. She tells the party to get ready to be hidden.
The group can now see Morgi flying directly at them at full speed. The long distance he can cover so quickly is astounding to watch and he is able to reach the group without being attacked again.
Wyntar pulls out his spellbook for some unannounced reason just as the eagle arrives. Morgi transforms back into his human form just as he lands, showing the group that he has obviously done this many, many times before. He slows down his flight at just the precise moment, allowing him to resume his human form in a full run as he approaches the party. (5 hp recovered)
We have company up there! He says to the group. Invisible....and painful.
There is no longer any sign of the yellow mist.

Blodget, halfling thief:
Blodget quietly pocketed the errant potion and exclaimed, "Mister Morgi, sir! I'm so glad you're not dead! We thought you were done for and no mistake!"
At Mira's words, Blodget pulled up the hood of his elvish cloak and scampered near her, readying a stone in his sling.
"Can you see them, m'lady?!" he whispered breathlessly, his fearful eyes on the darkening sky.

Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Mira's glazed eyes still on the area that seemed to attack Morgi, replies. No. I see nothing out of the ordinary, but it's possible I am too far away to see anything amiss. Morgi, could you tell if the force that waylaid you was only in the air, or does it descend to the surface? Tho it seems as she is not awaiting an answer, the slight mystic lowers herself to a crouching position and again produces the tiny brass urn, polishing it with her worn, course wool sash. She whispers a few words, and a greenish, vaguely glowing vapor pours from the opening, slowly forming a Human face!
A voice so deep it vibrates the ground beneath beckons forth from the misty visage: Yes, my child.
Mira speaks with the ghost-like being as if it were a common occurrence. Lolo, I need the Mist of the Isles again, to mask our presence from all those who would spy on us, so we can see without being seen. Can you bring it under my control? The smoky face remains idle for a moment, then nods. Of course, my child.
The volume of the presence fades to white, and more fog issues from the urn, swallowing the entire party in pea soup so thick it becomes an effort to see a hand in front of your face. Mira's soft voice can be heard, speaking with genuine affection. Thank you, Lolo. At her next words, the affection is gone and she is all business. Allow me to touch you, all of you, so the Mist will permit you to see thru it. Blodget has experienced this before, the rest of you may need a moment to adjust.
Spectral Force, A roughly 16" circular patch of fog, swirling and billowing, in an attempt to blend into the snowy background.

Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Xano moves to Miras voice. Yes let me see beyond this mist. I do not like not being able to see what is around me.

Blodget, halfling thief:
Blodget trembled at the sight of the vaporous vision. But he was sweet on Mira so he scurried near despite his jitters, wondering just who this Lolo was to her anyway!

The monk will approach where he believes Mira to be, allowing her to lay hands on him so he may see through the magical fog.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. Trotter nocks an arrow and peers quietly for a target.
Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Wyntar goes to where he last saw Mira crouching. He's quite taken aback at her apparitionist abilities.

Blodget, halfling thief:
Blodget fidgeted nervously. "Oh, if only we had a pail of whitewash to throw on the invisible monsters, so we could see them!" he said, rambling now with anxiety.
Then the hobbit looked at the snow beneath his bare, furry feet. His eyes widened and his face brightened. "...or a blast of wind to send this snow upon them!"
Anyone?

Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Mira again resorts to her arcane skills and produces her magical urn. The group is astonished to see her mystical friend Lolo come into view. She then speaks with the apparition and more fog begins to billow forth from the urn. The area is soon filled with fog as the rest of the party follows her lead and gathers around her to recieve her magical senses.
Nothing happens......
The group waits as more fog encompasses the area. They wait a little longer, staring up into the darkening sky.
Nothing happens......
Another short time passes, Wyntar sees a little white furry bunny rabbit hop by.

Wyntar
I believe the creature that attacked Morgi is using invisibility and stealth to its advantage, it will not jeopardize itself to attack us here, we have the numbers. But Morgi was vulnerable by himself! I have another idea on how to get us to the mountain quickly. We would need to rest first and I would also need someone to aprehend that white rabbit if you would be so kind... He looks at Monky, Trotter, and Morgi.

Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
We could keep moving. I can bring the mist to mask our movements, so long as we don't travel too fast. Everyone notes Mirachele's tone, meaning her words are more of an offer than a suggestion. I am not comfortable with the idea of being watched. The Wind Spirits were convinced we were spied upon, and it seemed the great eagle was seeking unseen eyes. If we do rest, let us rest invisible.

Blodget, halfling thief:
"Oh, what a cute little bunny!" Blodget exclaimed softly as he slowly moved toward it, squatted down on his haunches, and held out a small piece of food for his new pet, cooing to it encouragingly.

Morgi think about it and activates his ring. The hare starts to float up into the air and soon begins to try and run against the air, His feet finding no purchase, it is almost comical. The druid calmly walks over to it and grasps it, trying to settle it down.
Once that is complete, Morgi turns to Wyntar and says. "You had better explain your plan before I hand this rabbit over to you."

Blodget, halfling thief:
"What? A flying rabbit?!?" Blodget gasped.
Then he saw Morgi. "Oh."
The young hobbit scampered over to feed and pet the sweet little bunny rabbit. "What shall we name it?"

Re: Act III Journey to The Peaks!
Trotter looks at Morgi ruefully, Or what? That was going to be dinner. You're a fellow forest denizen, so you should understand the rules of the wood.
He then glances at Wyntar, Morgi does have a point, though. What were you planning on doing with our dinner?
