I was playing in a tabletop D&D 5e session a few weeks ago. We were getting our asses kicked by some kobolds and there was one left (trying to escape and warn others). My mastiff was the only chance to stop the kobold before it's new turn and possible escape. I rolled a Nat 20 and a 6 for damage on d6. Hi all! I'm slowly emerging from the post-move...whatever you'd call it. Way too much stuff is still in boxes, and the "this needs to be fixed now" list is still too long. And then there's work, which is also slammed. But I'm finding a moment here and there to check in. Anyway, thanks for NPC'ing Kurot. Hopefully I won't need to have him quite so full-time NPC'd for much longer.

For the leveling up, are we rolling an extra die for HP? Looks like my crit die goes up but there's not much else at 2nd level.

Your Mutation Check die improves by one point, 1d20+2.Looks like my crit die goes up but there's not much else at 2nd level.
You may try to improve your Passive Mutation of Dual Brain. The base roll is 1d20+2 (for second level). Spending Luck or doing a Glowburn can be used to improve the result.
If you roll too low, you could lose the mutation or get a defect.

I don't know if this is posted somewhere, but what's the next XP milestone for those whose characters are currently Level 4?

Sorry, yes, Max needs to level up although I'm not sure there's much to it other than some stat changes.

For a Neuronaut (Shaman), level 2 adds +1 to Attack and Artifact Check rolls.

The base roll is 1d20+2. Glowburn and Luck may be used to boost the result. Remember: Glowburn must be declared BEFORE the roll.
A Natural 1 always results in a defect and loss of the mutation.

I'm not going to take the opportunity to improve Saiph, due to his low current luck. Otherwise I may try to improve his additional body parts. I'll likely try next time.
