Nella performs a closer, more direct inspection.
Keeping in mind there is at least 5 feet of rubble surrounding the statue, what is she going to do exactly? What is she looking for? Where is she looking? Does she make physical contact with it? With the rubble?

Lika
"A rough tunnel may mean a water source nearby." She shrugs. "More of a homey feel. Not to me, mind, too cramped."
Lika squints at the tunnel and at a few members of the group. "It's short. Kobold sized. We'd be at a disadvantage crawling through there. I suggest these nice large doors."

As with the last smashed statue, Nella would like to pursue her goal of studying the art and features of the Dungeon by handling pieces of the statue to determine what its original form was and sketching it for posterity. With proficiency in perception, history, and artist tools, I hope/hoped for advantage. (I also hoped that pursuing this IC goal diligently and at risk would reward Inspiration, but that's not how we are rolling.)
Since we are now under pressure to find water and to make progress, she will not do this if any other PC speaks up with desire to move on. She will at least sketch the pieces and with her artists eye try to interpret how it goes together from the pieces she sees.
I expect moving pieces for deeper study (including touching them) requires commitment to a short rest like timeframe, and the short sketch will have to do.
Xanlanan ponders the statue along with Nella. "Interesting. The rubble there doesn't seem to have come from the statue, but more likely from that rough tunnel there, wouldn't you say? Can you make out the size of that statue? well, assuming it had it's head I mean..."
Headless Statue
While Unari stands watch, Nella performs a closer, more direct inspection of the statue and area of rubble.
The baroness is able to conclude that the statue was made of alabaster, which is an important detail considering the rubble surrounding it is not. The rubble consists of the same stone that makes the majority of the walls, floors, and ceilings in the dungeon -- including the stone construction of this room.
The ceiling looks intact, so the rubble appears to have come from the tunnel behind the statue. Unari, from her position, and Xanlanan from his focus on the area, are able to confirm that the tunnel leading away from this current room is of much more crude construction with uneven walls, and the passage is significantly smaller. While the tunnel does appear to have been formed manually, and the rubble deposited into the current room supports this theory, Lika does note that a rough tunnel might suggest a water source nearby.
The statue itself looks to have been finely constructed -- like a piece of art -- and stands approximately 5-feet tall, from base to neck. It is fully intact... except for the head... and any cursory examination of the neck area reveals that the statue did have a head at one point, but it was removed. Likely through some blunt effort as the chops or chisels performed left rough edges.
While Nella is inspecting the statue, and quickly scrawling its likeness into one of her notebooks, Lika considers the possible options for progressing out of the room. "The tunnel is short. Kobold sized. We'd be at a disadvantage crawling through there," he starts. "I suggest these nice large doors."
Before any decision is made, Gruuthuk maneuvers to the tunnel and examines the immediate area looking for any sign of activity and does note a handful of small, random tracks, leading both in-and-out, between the area of the rubble and the tunnel. Likely the tracks left behind by the miners. From the size of the tunnel itself, and the size of the prints spotted, the bugbear suspects they were left by either kobold or goblin.

Confirming: The statue head is not present here? It was removed from the statue AND removed from the area? Also, what race does the statue appear to be (without its head)? Human?
Nella's curiosity draws her eye to the smaller tunnel, the likely egress of those who defaced the artwork. "Which way is most likely to lead to water?" she asks Gruthuuk. "This is all getting... extensive. Our objective is to rest and hydrate. Then I think we're most likely to find our way forward to the Well past those mirrors. My inclination is that the greatest benefit would be behind the most guarded path."

Unari
"I will scout down the tunnel to the bend, if I encounter something I will come back immediately. The size of the tunnel isn't an issue for me."
She will go just far enough to see down the tunnel further, running back immediately if she sees any threats.
Xanlanan has arms folded and one hand drums his chin with his fingers. He thinks of something and is starts to speak, "Maybe....no." his fingers return to drumming as he ponders the room. More drumming. More ideas he discounts. "What if...no". Drumming. "It could be....well, no. Not likely." He hmmms and hmmms and continues drumming away.

Gruuthuk
Pointing to tracks on the floor, the bugbear grunts to the others. Goblin or Kobold. In and out. Don't know how old. Water? Don't know.
Headless Statue Nella ponders the missing head, and whether it was removed from both the statue itself and the area entirely... and all evidence seems to suggest that. There is, however, enough rubble on the ground that it's possible the missing head might actually just be buried.
Edit to add: The form of the statue appears to be a nude, human female.
At the same time, Unari sets out to explore the roughly tunneled area leading away from the current area. The roughly 5-foot-wide and 5-foot-high tunnel is easy for the halfling to navigate, and will be possible for the taller members of the group as well, but is considerably smaller than the more established passages the group has navigated to this point.

Lika
Lika hangs back, really not enthused about hunching over in a cramped tunnel. "I knew this was underground, but that is ridiculous. There's absolutely no room to spread my wings in there. And I'm sure the air content is low as well."
Lika keeps looking back to the large and inviting double doors to the south. "Is she ok? Did the tunnel collapse on her?" Lika squawks as the halfling disappears out of sight.

Headless Statue Unari returns relatively quickly and shares her findings.
The tunnel bends back and to the left, running for approximately 30-feet, before turning sharply to the right:

Another 15-feet or so in this new direction and the tunnel appears to open into another chamber. The faint glow or outline of a goblin-shaped form is detected in Unari's darkvision. It is unmoving and presumed dead by how dim the heat radiating off of it is.
It's impossible to tell in the darkness, but it appears as if something is piled on the floor where the tunnel meets this new chamber. Possibly more piles of rubble from the tunneling effort?

The Baroness sighs, having to remain satisfied with her sketch of the headless statue for now. Searching rubble for interesting art has been painfully detrimental so far and a delay to their real task of not dying of lack of water.
"Another chamber, you say?" she asks the hafling. "Sounds of trickling water? Humidity in the air? If not we may be best to press on throughthe doors to find the water source these goblins and their masters used. I have doubts that the bugbears are squeezing through this tunnel for a drink."
She looks around for others to voice their opinions, ready to follow Gruuthuk through the doors otherwise.
"Everyone could fit through the tunnel without much issue, its roughly 5 foot by 5 foot. I am fine with the doors if that is the route everyone wants to go but the goblins are more likely down the tunnel."

The bugbear shrugs. Don't care which way. Dead body in tunnel, at least we know something there. I crawl if have to. Let's look at body.
Just in case: [1d20]=12 Dave, darkvision in 5e is NOT the infravision of old. Unari would not see heat but would be able to see in the dark.

Xanlanan dithers around. The direction they take isn't important to him at the moment. They are all interesting.

Next Direction? "Another chamber, you say?"Nella queries Unari, pressing for more details about the tunnel explored. "Sounds of trickling water? Humidity in the air?"
The halfling scout recalls neither.
The general consensus is to at least check beyond the set of double doors and avoid the more cramped tunnel.
Everyone assumes a safe position behind Unari, who herself carefully keeps to the side as she slowly pulls the left of the double door set open revealing an 'L' intersection, with a hallway continuing straight, but also a branch to the left, heading south. The passage is 10-feet high with a flat ceiling, and in both directions, the hall is outfit with shallow niches, spaced alternatively at roughly 15-foot intervals.
Inside each niche is a pair of tallow candles, suspended in midair, hovering and flickering in place.
These candles brightly illuminate the hallway in either direction.
Hall of Candles.jpg (43.85 KiB) Viewed 473 times
The hallway straight ahead bends sharply left after approximately 50-feet.
The hallway to the left appears to end at a T-intersection, with branches running off in both directions.

Thanks for the reminder!
I picture Darkvision to be like a night security camera without color, where everything is just in grayscale.
Per the rules on 'Vision and Light,' a general perception check would have been made at Disadvantage, so no fine details would have been spotted, but she would have probably been able to observe that it is just more rubble, like what was found in this current room.
