I've been waiting to find out what the something is. AdaRue would suggest peppering it with arrows.

"Better to remove it from the list of options for the goblins than to leave it here alive where they can let it loose to follow us," Watts remarks.

Omdog says, If it has two legs, I can try and charm it. If it has four legs, i say we kill it. I don't want the carnivorous guard toad of the goblins huntings us down.

So has Canun.

The group continues to debate what to do with the four-legged creature or animal
Junius spies pacing back-and-forth off in the distance about 20-feet in the far left-hand corner of the neighboring chamber. The creature, evidently restrained in some way, continues to lunge angrily in the direction of the group, but is snapped back each time as it seemingly overextends its reach.
Behind the dwarf,
AdaRue joins
Tom at the body of the fallen goblin. The cleric reaches down and picks up the pouch dangling from the goblins waist, and as soon as she opens it to inspect it -- it explodes! A sticky, glue-like substance sprays out and coats
AdaRue,
Tom, and
Junius (see below). The full effects of this gluey substance are not immediately known, but a coated character immediately notices that they are stuck in their current spot and unable to move.
Tippin and
Keebler continue to stand in place in the middle of the passage, and hear
Mila and the rest returning.
Suddenly,
Canun, in the rear, senses an orange glow at his back, and hears the harsh, rapid, drumming sound rapidly approaching from behind him.

AdaRue and Tom can make a d20 roll; a result that is less than or equal their Dexterity will allow them to avoid being coated. Junius, with his back to the explosion, is automatically stuck.
If stuck, feel free to describe how you attempt to free yourselves, and include a d20 roll, and I will detail the outcome of your efforts.
There are enough light sources, evenly spread out, including the light from the fire beetle, so I am just showing the map without including the light radius' which, when overlapping, and not blocked off, can almost get distracting.

I think you misspelled "

Junius freezes for a moment, unsure whether to step into more of the goo, trying to free himself.
He does move his arms and hips, hoping to keep whatever it is somewhat pliable.

Dex 10 vs [1d20] = 13
AdaRue is completely immobilized, not only by the goo, but also the shock of what just happened.
What filthy, little creatures!!! she is left thinking.
Oh dear! Another fire beetle!

Watts motions Rainey, Canun, and Omdog to move to the side while he fires his short bow at the approaching fire beetle.
Long Bow attack (THAC0:18) : [1d20] = 11 damage: [1d8] = 8

Tom Cobley
Tom is stuck in place, partially straddling the goblin corpse, as the substance sprays all over his legs and feet.
He checks to see if it is water-soluble by pouring some water from his waterskin onto it.

"Golly, that can't be good!" exclaims
Tippin as the leaders get stuck in place. Then he hears the fire beetle.
"Don't go anywhere! I'll be right back!" He ducks around the corner and looks for an opening to fire an arrow at the beetle.
Short bow (THAC0 19): [1d20+2] = 19+2 = 21, [1d6] = 1

Keebler sighs a deep and meaningful sigh that carries all the weight of centuries of life. That, or he's petulant. Either way, he follows the commotion, draws his bow, and fires at the beetle.
Short bow (THAC0 19): [1d20] = 15, [1d6] = 4

Seeing Tom pour water, Junius will try the same. If it doesnt works,
he will ask if anyone has wine.

Omdog tries to keep alive, moving away from fire beetles, chained guard monsters, and out of lines of fire. When he hears the shout for water, he readies his water skin, prepared to squirt some water on people that seem to require it, either because they are stuck and water helps, or because they are on fire and water presumably helps.

Mila
From here place at the bend in the cave, she can see the predicament the companions when the gooie bomb goes off, but she also sees the fire beetle coming up from behind. Torn on what to do, she holds her little dagger in one hand and her lantern high in the other. She shouts down to those stuck, a rare occasion when she uses her full voice, and tells them what is happening. She also looks about on the ground for a proper throwing stone.

AdaRue becomes tearful at her predicament. I don't want to die here! Somebody help me get loose, please! She prays to her goddess for guidance and assistance.

Canun raises his shield and mace, ready to attack the oncoming beetle. He says nothing, and his face cannot be seen by those behind him. But they think they hear whimpering...

Round 1
Tom quickly produces his waterskin and begins pouring some water onto the sticky substance... which does slowly begin to wash away.
Junius, seeing the relative success
Tom is having, begins dousing his slimy bindings with water as well.
AdaRue, praying to her goddess, quickly follows the lead of her mortal companions and resorts to washing the glue away with plain water.
Suddenly, in a rare occasion when
Mila uses her full voice, she calls up to the trio struggling ahead of her and informs them of the approaching fire beetle. She easily finds a stone suitable for throwing and readies herself.
Around the bend,
Watts sends an arrow at the approaching beetle which sails harmlessly overhead.
Keebler and
Tippin have more success, however, as the elven arrows pierces the thorax of the beetle, and the halfling sinks his arrow into the abdomen of the glowing insect. A pained hissing sound quickly dissipates as the life escapes the creature, which collapses onto the floor before its able to even reach
Canun; rolling onto its back and folding in its multi-jointed legs. It is dead.
The problem is not over, though.
While the four-legged creature in the far left-hand corner of the neighboring chamber continues to lunge angrily in the direction of the group, of greater concern is the sound of multiple footsteps and overlapping goblin barking approaching from somewhere deeper within the chamber, but still out of view.
Junius hears the following two phrases --
"Kaar't haar daal!" and
"Mech daal ach!" -- which he reluctantly translates as follows:
"Let's get them!" and
"Kill them all!"

Canun charges the beetle, thunking it in its underbelly with his mace. "There, that ought to finish it!" he cries triumphantly. "A victory for Hubbard!"
He returns to the others to find out what's going on at the north end of the passageway.

Watts readies another arrow and turns to the corridor where the others are trapped. He will get himself into a position where he has a clear shot at anything that comes out of the chamber.
