Eyes at the Threshold (ooc and questions IX)
Re: Eyes at the Threshold (ooc and questions IX)
Sorry, Scott. We're past 4 days. I'll NPC Ingrid and move it along.

Does being in the Dreamlands affect any of Urdur's spells? Would he know if it did?
Urdur does not know.

Hi jemmus,
I think you posted two actions this round:
1. Creep back up the stairs and open the secret door into the grand entry hall (area 1).
2. Stay in area 10 and move west.
Which would you like to do, please? Or are you doing action 1 and then action 2?
Thanks!

Sorry about that. Let's go with action 2 and flank Arthur.

I can't remember- has Ingrid tried turning these almost-men before?

I think I already know the answer to this but I better ask anyway.....
Is there any/enough root growth in this lovely room of death for an Entangle spell to work?

More dread lore and unspeakable secrets have been added here to help ease your path to insanity.

Hey everyone,
Pixie asked me to NPC Telkis and move the game along.
Also: Raven, the corpse mound in the center of the chamber prevents Mouser from seeing ?7. So I'll have him target ?6 with his critical hit. Thanks!

Re: Eyes at the Threshold (ooc and questions IX)
For some reason, this reminded me of something that happened when I was in college, in a face-to-face game. One of our fighters had decided he really was all that and a bag of chips. We walked into a room with a group of some mid-level beastie (I want to say centaurs, but I don't remember). Perseus looked at them and said "It's like this- let us pass through in peace, and we won't kill you."We did NOT enter this place to scare anyone away. My friends are nearly as bloodthirsty as you are, you see.
Dead silence around the table... and then the second player in the room stepped back through the door and closed it behind him. We let him get his ass kicked for a couple of rounds before we went in and rescued him.

I forget, is negative hit points in this game dead or just dying?

Hi Scott.
It's AD&D 1e, so 0hp is unconscious and -10hp is dead.
Re: Eyes at the Threshold (ooc and questions IX)
Hi Scott,
A PC may charge once every ten rounds, so Ingrid can't reach ?1 this round and attack. Sorry. Please revise your post. Thanks.
Edit: Everyone's posted and we're past 3 days so I'll move it along. Since she can't charge, I'll interpret Ingrid's action as: move this round, and possibly attack next round. Thanks.

Sorry, Socratic. Jerome may have just spoiled Urdur's spell.

No worries.

How do we know you're not a donkey-brained man?
