Blodget, halfling thief:
"Oh my dear Aunt Blodgella!"
Excited and terrified, Blodget fires another uncanny, deadeyed sling stone right between the eyes of the strange simian sorceress!
Blodget Sling: To Hit: [1d20+9] = 20+9 = 29, Damage: S/M: [1d4+3] = 3+3 = 6, Damage: L: [1d6+3] = 6+3 = 9
Natural 20. Good timing, Blodget

Wyntar begins reading from his spell book again, casting Dispel Magic on the reptiles.
Re: Death in the Depths
Trotter charges past the lizards (let's hope they are dispelled) and attacks the demoness directly.
Sword of Sharpness to hit [1d20+4] = 10+4 = 14, dmg v l [1d8+15] = 4+15 = 19

Re: Death in the Depths
The End Is Nigh
Round 2
not sure what happened to our paladin lately, but I bet he will have some excuse
Trotter does not wait for the spell casters. He charges in at the black demon, trying to end this as quickly as he can. Mira casts a spell towards the oncoming lizards. She is able to catch two of them in its mystical aura. One of the beasts turns around and runs away scared, back towards the open door to the treasure room. The other two continue to advance a few more steps, snapping their jaws at the ranger as he passes them by. They are both completely dispelled by Wyntar's follow up attempt. They pop out of existence just as fast as they were conjured.
Blodget slings a stone in the direction of the magic using winged beast. The projectile flies true, straight for the apes head. He sees it pass through a nearly invisible mystical shield in front of the creature, but the precision of the shot helps to keep it on the mark. It thuds hard, right between the demons eyes. She staggers backwards a bit, seeming more appalled that it happened then actually being injured by it that much. The incantation she was just about to unleash is now lost due to the fortuitous and timely distraction. (that shot really saved you some future pain right there)
As the winged creature notices the ranger advancing towards her, she immediately begins to take flight. At the end of Trotters charge, she is already too far above his head for him to get a swing at. Now that he is a little closer, he notices that the room beyond this one is nearly overflowing with coins, gems, and other treasures.
Xano finally enters the room, staying near the vulnerable spell casters. She is about 50 feet away from the now flying Yesorkh. Halo stays in the hall one more round. He pulls out his tiny bow as soon as he sees the enemy begin to take flight. He quickly fires off two shots, but neither arrow finds its target.

Coward! yells Trotter and switches to bow.
Bow w bracers of archery & dex bonus attack [1d20+3] = 1+3 = 4, dmg [1d6+1] = 6+1 = 7 Clearly the switch wasn't very smooth
2nd shot [1d20+3] = 20+3 = 23, dmg [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6 but he found his groove

Blodget, halfling thief:
Emboldened and inspired by that last shot, the little hobbit screwed up his courage and determinedly hurtled a second whistling missile at the mad monkey mage!
If they could see him now, back at Mudmarsh Farm! He, humble little Blodget, fighting alongside the greatest, mightiest, most virtuous heroes of the age! They wouldn't recognize him. He didn't recognize him!

Re: Death in the Depths
Mira will see Yesorkh's 3 measly lizards.......and raise her one mystical bronze dragon.
Round 3
The action intensifies as Xano abandons Halo and rushes in towards the black demon. She tries to get behind they enemy, but that isn't easy to do when she is flying. Halo stays quiet in the doorway and continues missing with his bow.
Trotter finally snaps his bowstring from all of his recent abusive handling. His fails to get his second shot off this round and will need to spend half of his next round restringing. (only one shot on your next attack) Blodget proudly slings another stone at the flying monkey, hitting her in the rib cage.
Wyntar is tired of all this copper piece ante action, so he raises his staff towards the flying demon. A burst of lightning shoots upwards from the tip, blasting hard into Yesorkh. The bolt passes through her body and bounces around up near the ceiling of this room for a while before finally fizzling out. She seems rather hurt and a little stunned from the blast, but she is able to keep her wits about her. The wizard feels a strange sensation from his staff after his last use, possibly indicating that it is running out of power.
As Mira begins conjuring another masterpiece, the injured black beast flies up to the top of the 40' doorframe behind her. She perches herself snugly at the top of the huge frame and closes her red, glaring eyes.
Mira brings into existence the most stunning and unimaginably frightening flying bronze beast of the sea cliff skies that you have ever seen.
The dragon rears back, it sheer scale and intimidation factor is insanely impressive. The black demon opens her red eyes again, but only for an instant. Suddenly, her body begins to shake and a black, misty smoke begins to emerge from it. The black smoke floats through the air straight for the head of the newly formed dragon. It flies around near the eyes and nose, looking for a place to get inside.

Halo charges into the hall and towards the dragon creature, hoping his aura might help keep the winged Demoness at bay in her current form.

Re: Death in the Depths
Trotter curses under his breath and restrings his bow. He tests the new string on Yesorkh.
Bow w bracers of archery & dex bonus attack [1d20+3] = 20+3 = 23, dmg [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4
Yep, works just fine.

Re: Death in the Depths
Mira believes she understands what the Demoness is trying to do, and is doubtful of the possibility. Still, she also concedes she has no real idea what Yesorkh is capable of... Best not to take a chance. She has heard tales of the Sea Cliff Dragons moving entire fog banks with their wings, but this smoke form of the enemy? The stakes are far too high to gamble thus. Again she opens her libram, and with an expression of utter pain and loss, begins reading.

Blodget, halfling thief:
Incredulous, the foolish little hobbit watched in horror as the tables turned! Wicked Yesorkh tried to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat! "Sh-she, she's going to possess the dragon, the way she did the poor Cloud Giant!" he cried in terror.
Blodget pulled up the hood of his elven cloak and scampered toward door before they were all engulfed in dragon fire!
