Chp. 3: La Muerta Espara
Re: Chp. 3: La Muerta Espara
Calto the Druid:
Seeing the serpent apparently retreating, Calto waits until he is out of striking distance and attempts to retrieve the body of his fallen comrade, Grindhelm. He then tries to drag the dwarf to the doorway where the others are waiting.

Alex 'Blade Rain' Vam; human male Fighter
Still furious over seeing his friends fall, Blade Rain isn't about to let the demon serpent get away without one last attempt at revenge, so he draws his last 3 daggers and lets fly in a last ditch attempt to drop the cursed two-headed terror….
OOC: 3 normal dagger attacks:
[1d20+4] = 6+4 = 10
I doubt that hits, but if so; damage is: [1d4+2] = 1+2 = 3
[1d20+4] = 11+4 = 15
If that hits (hopefully); damage is: [1d4+2] = 2+2 = 4
[1d20+4] = 16+4 = 20
Damage is: [1d4+2] = 4+2 = 6

Re: Chp. 3: La Muerta Espara
Bruno the gnome blinks back into the northwest area of the chamber, staggers, and keels over dead.
Calto the druid grabs the dead Grindhelm and carries him back to the south doorway.
As the snake slithers into the hole in the north wall, the angry Blade Rain throws three more daggers. Two strike the second rear head of the two-headed snake. That head hisses and dies, but the rest of the body and the head at the other end keep moving into the darkness of the earth.
All is quiet.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:
Too angry to speak, the dark cleric calls upon the apathy of Nodens to try to calm himself.
If his otherworldly sight abides, he will open the nearest door to search for traps in the adjacent room.

Calto the Druid:
The usually stoic Calto is moved to inexplicable anger and grief as he gathers the bodies of the three fallen comrades. He lines them all in a row and pulls their cloaks over their pale faces. He stands in mourning, peering down at the trio, reciting a prayer to the Earth Mother.

Si looks to the others as the body count continues to rise.
Do your ritrituals so we can keep moving. We will all end up like these poor souls if we can't figure out a way through this death maze.
While the others say their goodbyes, Siavel renters the snake room and commands his Porter to take a look down the hole.

Tabai thanks Kitchi and uses his spear as a staff for the moment.

Calto the Druid:
Calto finishes saying his words over the dead, knowing that they now are in the embrace of the Earth Mother. He then turns to his companions questioningly, "Three companions lost..., where do you propose we journey from this point?"

Re: Chp. 3: La Muerta Espara
The party gathers the dead at the south door and last rites are observed. Azoth of Noden Faith peers through the south door to the corridor beyond, which ends in double doors. His divine vision which detects earthy dangers of manufactured design sees no threat at these double doors.
Azoth recalls that the west door and its corridor ending in double doors also held no trap threat. The southwest door and the elaborate pit with plants within hold obvious threat.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:
Azoth turned his baleful red eyes upon Kitchi, "The spell you speak of is still in effect, ranger. Let us move now with deliberateness and caution, to use it while it lasts."
The cleric opened the southernmost doors.

Siavel
Good thinking Kitchi! They won't be needing their possessions where they are going!
The elf has no qualms whatsoever about going through the packs and clothing of the dead. He looks for anything of theirs that might still be of use to the mission.
He then follows Azoth as he checks the doors.
