Anyway. More formally: My vote is to find an easy pickings dungeon or plot hook to get everyone up to third, and then reassess.
That reminds me. I've been giving all the new player a plot hook to bring in. Dealing with this implosion kind of distracted me. Anyway, on the way to Threshold Severi passed through the town of Riffilian, a small community made up mostly of elves located on the Dukes Road south of Threshold. There, he heard talk of an ancient tower located in the forest west of Rifflian, from the time before the Thyatians arrived in Karameikos. Long abandoned, there is talk that some one -- or some thing -- has recently moved into the tower and is currently repairing it.

Aquar has posted IC. I will respond to that IC this evening. There is also the question of magical item disbursement. I will leave that up to you to decide what you want to keep and what you want to sell. As to the most geographically close hook that has the potential for pay-off there is the mysterious door in the woods, discovered whilst haring after the Beast.

Oh, I like the idea of going back to the mysterious door. Maybe it's a completely unguarded Repository of clerical and wizardly spell scrolls and magical items!

I looked back through the IC thread a bit, but didn't notice that part. Can anyone tell me about when you came across it so I can look up the reference?

IC IX, p. 12, according to frobozz's excellent table of contents.

Okay, that looks interesting. I'd consent to going back to crack it open.

Guys, it is with a bit of sadness that I, too, will be announcing my withdrawal from the game. Truth be told, I've been feeling a bit of burnout on D&D for a while now, and I had been carrying on in the game with the hopes of seeing a particular storyline come full circle, before I had planned to officially step down. However, in talking with TK by PM, it looks like the Elwyn/Bargle plotline is not only not within immediate reach of being resolved, but is actually a very long ways away (especially with our current lack of manpower and levels). So, for that reason, I've decided that now would be a good time for me to go ahead and bow out. This puts everyone still in the party on the same footing (level 2), and since you guys are more open to a variety of plot hooks, I'm sure you will have no problem finding something fun to go after. My very best to all of you and I hope you guys have a blast!

I took a quick look at each of the various threads I have worked on over time, and made sure all of them were reasonably up-to-date (the Treasure List is spotless, and the Table of Contents page is up-to-date up through Flaurmont 21). Keeping up with the others posts that I have worked on is optional, and those can be carried on or not, depending on the needs and desires of the group (TK, please feel free to edit or delete any of these posts as needed/desired).

Man, this has been a great game... and a great experience gaming with all of you. I know I will probably miss it, but I also know that this is the right time for me to depart. A big thank you to everyone, especially TK, for making all the characters and places that I remember so fondly from my youth really come alive for me one more time! :)

Despite the recent exodus I am quite determined to carry on. I am still looking to recruit new players, so if you guys know anybody who may be suitable please invite them to check out the recruitment thread.

Now, I did post upthread regarding a substantial amount of magical items that the remaining PCs have inherited. I believe there should be two suits of magical armor (one plate, one chain), three swords, a spear, a dagger plus some miscellaneous items. You guys are welcome to do what you will with them. Please note that XP will be granted for the sale of magical items.

Also, you guys may want to look into hiring some henchmen, especially if we can't get anyone else involved.

Well, once we're completely sure who will still be playing (at this point I have no idea how many PCs we actually still have), we can figure out how to distribute those. Does magic armor take up less encumbrance in DD? If so, we definitely want to keep the magic armor.

At this point there are three PCs: cleric, elf and mystic. And yes, magic armor has its encumbrance reduced by half.

Awesome. I call dibs on the magic plate. I figure the spellbook will have to be more or less community property, if we have more incoming arcane spellcasters. The rest of it, we should wait and make sure any more new players get a slice before we sell off the remainder.

To make things easier I have moved all the inactive players to the "Lost in the Dark" thread. We will want to refer to their sheets for the magic items they left behind.

Aquar will arm wrestle you for the plate mail :) He turned it down before, not feeling worthy of it so soon in the group. But with new circumstances, and having 8 HP, he'll take every point of protection he can get.

Alright, man. You can have it. Let me try and put together a list of what all we're getting here. My next post will be that list. I'll edit it as we correct the record, rather than continuing to make new posts.

IN THIS POST: I'm going to figure out what all is in the loot pile. Further corrections will be edited in.

"I believe there should be two suits of magical armor (one plate, one chain), three swords, a spear, a dagger plus some miscellaneous items. "

"I also want to figure out what's going on with the magic items. At this point Innana's sword and Bregalad's plate and spear are with Myraal, so those two are still in play, as is the chainmail +1. I'm going to say there's a 50% chance that a character leaves a magical item with the party. They are, in this order: Thordin's sword, Innana's dagger, Drudsa's wand, Gan's spellbook, Maeve's spellbook, scroll with shield spell, potion of sight, potion of water breathing, continual light lantern.

1-50 is a yes: (1d100=7, 1d100=65, 1d100=100, 1d100=44, 1d100=89, 1d100=59, 1d100=97, 1d100=75, 1d100=1)

So, the departing PCs leave Thordin's sword, Gan's spellbook and the continual light lantern."

...Unless all this is a duplication of what Frobozz has already collated in the Treasure thread.

I'm about to put Maude to bed but I'll try and help out. Thordin's sword is +3. There is a sword being identified that is +1, with other properties. The plate and spear are also being IDed. The spear is +1/+3 v giants. I think both plate and chain are +1.

The treasure list just describes, at this point, either items that were gained during the most recent adventure or are presently being identified. The list you quoted includes items previously found and IDed
