Are we even looking for the doppelgänger? Is the doppelgänger the poodycat? Am I turning into a poodycat? Geesh, I can't even get passed two. How does Lanny do it?

Ok, then. I have reduced Bregalad's inventory from 8 levels down to 4 levels of material.

Like Lanny, Bregalad will spend his free time, trying to learn Mirror Image.

1) Re: the plan. I would say the great cat first, then return to Threshold to collect the prize sword and inform the Baron of the orcs and ask him if he wants our assistance in dealing with them. 2) We lost the trail of the doppleganger, but we would love to find it again if the opportunity presents itself. 3) The doppleganger and the great cat might be the same being, or they might be partners in crime working together, or they might be completely unrelated - we do not know at this point. 4) Innana is probably taking on the characteristics of the fey creature, rather than the characteristics of the great cat (although I could be wrong about that). 5) It's a secret.

I say we just leave the loggers camp. If anyone tries to stop us we, and they draw their weapons, then we can kill them. Don't like the idea of killing other people, unless we have to, but somehow I don't think Innana will mind so much in this case. I don't think the elves memorized anything that will help us in a battle.

If I have not said it before, just wanted to thank everyone for deciding to bring me back with the Fae stone. I think the changes the stone made in Innana are interesting, and cool. I like her new eyes. I posted a pic of her new look in the character sheets. You have to enlarge it to see her cat eyes.
The slow healing sucked, but it could have been a lot worse.

That is correct, that the Drudsa and the elves do not have any real offensive magic at the ready (Lanny has two Magic Missiles, but that is all. Remember that I am keeping a list of "Spells Remaining" on the Standards thread for a quick reference.) So, no one has Sleep prepared, unfortunately.

Lanny would also like to leave the camp tonight and go to the camp where the attacks occurred. However, if this is not possible without a fight ensuing, then he is ok with remaining in their tents tonight under guard. He does not wish to fight and kill loggers who he knows are justifiably upset about the continued attacks of the beast and the disappearance of Jaceo. He will quietly mention to Drudsa and Bregalad that if they are forced to remain in place overnight, then they should all prepare a full contingent of Sleep spells first thing in the morning in the privacy of their tents and be prepared to use them to escape the camp.

I don't think that any of these loggers are dopplegangers... If they were, or if they were in any way evil in nature, then Aquar's spell would have detected them...

Edit: Unless, of course, the doppleganger only reappears when the great cat attacks and/or kills (as it did during our last confrontation).

So, Drudsa has proposed trying to leave and investigating the site of the most recent attack; Bregalad and Lanny seem to support waiting around until the Baron's men arrive as oppose to trying to leave. Can I get some more votes on the two choices above, or a new proposed plan?

I mentioned it as part of the IC flavor text, but there is nothing really the loggers can do to prevent your leaving. I probably wouldn't even roll it out if you try and fight your way free.

Just to clarify, Lanny is in favor of leaving immediately for the south camp (where the most recent attacks occurred). His backup plan of weapons training and spell study while waiting around for the baron's men was only in case the loggers were hell bent on fighting to keep them there (Lanny knows the party could easily defeat the loggers, but he does not want to see any more loggers dead, and certainly not at the hands of the party). If the loggers back down a little and willingly allow the party to leave peacefully, Lanny supports going now. But he does not want anyone to think that the party is fleeing or trying to escape justice or something (we have our reputation to uphold here!)

My next project was going to be working on consolidating all useful NPC names and details into a single post. TK, I can either put that on the Player's Notes thread, or, if you want to create a new thread for NPCs, I can add them there.

And again, if anyone is interested in managing either one of these things (Table of Contents or NPCs) going forward, I am always happy to share job duties!

Item Identification/Research for Myraal:
* Identification of magical chain mail from the troll's lair and the elven chain mail from the elves in Tall Oak (one week, 750gp)
* Coat-of-arms and arcane symbol research (250gp)

What is the status of these two things? Has the chain been identified? Is it just +1 variety elven chain? And what of the coat of arms research? Or are these two things going to be ready once we are again back at Myraal's?

Al: The ID of the elven chain mail (it is +2 elven chain mail but has no additional properties; it is currently being worn by Lanny), as well as the research on the coat-of-arms and arcane symbol, has been completed (the research results were added to the Custom/Unique Items thread). Myraal is still checking on the troll's chain mail (which is +1 chain mail but might possibly have additional properties). It should be ready to pick up by the time we return to Threshold.

We owe 1000gp for the above items, plus another 1000gp for the second batch of items we left with him recently (no payments have been made yet - it might be easier to do that all at one time once everything is ready).
