It looks like we are waiting for Antman9 (Strombrow & Luna Cee) & Imswayze (Trindon & Garbonzo) to either finish up their characters' stuff for chapter 2 & or Vote on the Horse Barding.

At the Chapel, Chaplain Abercrombie, Brother Martin, Sister Opal, Bless the adventuring Clerics for good luck &
say their good-byes.

In the Market Square Mr. Beasley the inn-keeper & Calista, & Wilf give the group their well-wishes as they grab their back-packs & leave
for the Common Stables.

Everyone begins to arrive at the Common Stables around 1:20 pm.

The horses themselves are anxious to get underway says Durgan.

The Clerics arrive first from St. Cuthbert's Chapel, strapping on their backpacks & mounting their horses.

Durgan & Luna Cee, put their backpacks on & saddle-up.

===============================================
Iamswayze writes:

As everyone is filing toward the common stables, Garbonzo pulls Trindon aside to break down a battle strategy between the two.

Garbonzo does most of the talkin': "Now Trindon, pay attention. We need to move as one unit."

"We don't know any of these yahoos, and so we don't know how they well they will do when steel meets steel."

"We have gotten through some rotten scenarios together, so we have to trust each other above all else."

"Your job is pretty simple really...don't let anyone flank us, protect my arse, and rush to attack any mages to disrupt their spellcasting."

"Pick your battles quickly, but wisely. Now, I'm not sayin' it's you and me against the world here."

"We need to work with everyone here to keep us ALL alive, but I think our best chance at stickin' around is to have our little, battle tested team within the team."

"Do you hear me? Don't let anyone behind me. I ain't too quick on me toes."

Trindon's ability/liability to focus has him drilling Garbonzo's words into his mind. So much that he drifts off into visualizations of the battle scenarios that Garbonzo had just put forth.

Without changing his gaze or expression, Trindon says, "Got it!"

==================================================================

The group exercising with Trindon then arrive, strapping on their backpacks & then mounting their horses.

Castellan Devereau, wishes everyone Good Luck & Success, on their mission & then heads up the south Main-Gate Tower to see the Adventures off.

Sabine the Gate-Keeper & her Scribe Michellee, wish the group well, along with Tella & Willis the Stable-hands.

Finally, Sabine gives the order to open the inside double doors & the Adventures file out 4 side-by-side into the gatehouse.

Once the whole group is inside the gatehouse, Sabine has the Double-Doors Closed.

Then the Main Gate begins to rise & DrawBridge lowers with a thud.

The party files out & goes down the path, looking up they see Castellan Devereau smiling & waving a good-bye.

Stormbrow & Rondoel Anthielwindelmir notice that Lord Guido Macsen Wiedig is on top the Bailiff Tower with two guards to either side watching the party file down the path.

The Group reaches the North Caravan Road & thus the Search finally gets underway!

Since we are all or almost all young characters (not going to die standing around any time soon), and we can role play quickly through time, if need be, I vote for barding the horses in leather armor...if it be free of charge. Why wouldn't the horses' owner insist on this, or make the decision? Also, we would still have enough daylight to reach the caves, no matter how slow we proceed. Once we get into the caves, daylight isn't nearly as important.
