Darkness...Imprisoning Me!

Moan stumbles, but doesn't fall as he kneels down and gropes around trying to...wait...is that a boot?
"Something on the floor here." He says to anyone who can hear him.
Continuing to feel around, the boot is attached to a leg and to the upper chest of...could it be Stannik?
But then Moan's hand touches something rubbery and tough (no, not that!
) from which he recoils in revulsion. He hears what might be considered a hissing sound as something suddenly hits the ground near him, brushing his head and back!
DM attack: [1d20+2]=1+2=3 [1d6+3]=1+3=4
Moan feels tentacles(?) reaching for him, attempting to grab hold! He's under attack and can't see a thing!
Back in the chamber...
Using his resources,
Mag pulls a copper piece from his pouch and casts a Light spell on it and tries to use it to see through the darkness. And just like that! The darkness seems to recoil from the light!
Ari loads her bullseye lantern and points the beam down the corridor...and this is what is revealed:
A figure lies on the floor about 30 feet away where the corridor gives way to an open chamber. Kneeling beside the figure is Moan and standing close to Moan is
Brade, with his hands on the wall, groping along in the darkness. But there is something else...
TWO somethings! A strange looking creature, a dark octopus-looking thing, has engulfed the figure (Stannik?) from head to chest! And another is trying to grab Moan!

Actions!
You can see the corridor where Brade, Moan, and the creatures are. Beyond is an open chamber. If you need a map, let me know. The corridor is 10' wide and about 30' long.
