+ Moan's post. So I thought several people were already aware of the situation. If that is not the case:
"We have a problem!" - the dwarf shouts to warn his companions, just as he takes off after Stannik.
From the first > "I think we have a problem," the Neverwintan guard says quietly.
To the next > "We have a problem!" - (Thurm) shouts to warn his companions, just as he takes off after Stannik.
To the next > "What problem?" (Moan) "After him!" and he takes off after Stannik.
To the rest > Raz...Mag...Barin...follow the others after Stannik. Ari moves back to get a clear view of what is happening.
To the last > Brade, King and Deel follow too, halting just before the darkened corridor.
When the companions arrive, it is easy to feel the cold seeping from the dark corridor. Mag feels something in his hand and he looks down to see Sandspur glowing red.
Stannik's torch and sword lie on the ground just outside the corridor entrance...beyond is silence and darkness...and cold.

Raz having hopefully grabbed the dropped torch and sword shoves the sword in his pack carefully and draws his morningstar and carries the torch in the other hand for now.

Not only is the corridor colder than the rest of the cavern, it is darker...so dark that even those who have infravision cannot penetrate its recesses. Moan's sword doesn't give off enough light, so basically, he is entering the corridor blind as a...well, bats are not blind, per se, but you get the picture.
Walking slowly, the ranger enters the corridor which is as dark as pitch.
The further Moan walks the colder he gets...until he stubs his toe on something...or someone? (Roll a Dex save not to trip and fall)
Brade follows the ranger, but the others hesitate at the entrance. Grumble arrives with questions, Raz picks up Stannik's sword and torch, Mag suggests evil is nearby, and Ari attempts to listen...which is very difficult since all of her companions are shuffling around and talking.
