Gotcha. See that now. Then the Ranger squints really hard as he looks around ;)
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Fyi, the same is true of that northern chamber. The map only shows what was visible via Urdur's distant torchlight.
