Torch in hand, Urdur follows the others up the stairs, looking for the source of the mysterious voice.

Telkis smacks his lips, sighs and looks at the bottle. "It wasn't poison!" he says.

As good as he feels, he resolves to proceed with caution and try to avoid toe-to-toe fighting as much as possible, or any fighting at all, for that matter. He cautiously moves up the stairs with the group.

Beneath Castle Ravenloft, Greyhawk
Day Two. Late Afternoon? Sunday, January 15th, 577 CY

Image

By the light of swords and flame, the doomed heroes push back the pitch darkness beneath Castle Ravenloft.

Stone steps lead them up out of the icy black water into an unflooded, stonework corridor. In every direction lies more steps.

To the north, steps lead down into an open area of black water.

To the south, a stone stairwell curves upward.

To the east, steps descend into black water and another half-submerged iron door with a bar across it. From behind the locked portal comes piteous beseeching: "Help! Please! Someone help me!" It's now apparent that the desperate voice has a Flannish accent.

N'Rogara
Agreed, the ranger says over his shoulder to Faron. I could kick the door in, but it might be better, and quieter for you or the half-elf to take a look that lock first, he says not actually certain he can kick the door in. N'Rogara steps to the side, but goes down the eastern stairs enough to dip his sword in the water, hopefully revealing anything that might be hiding down there, and to be close enough to the thief(ves) to be of some protection just in case.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Mouser shakes his head. "You know it's a trick.... but we have to check to make sure, right? Dammit, i hate this.." He waits in the back but will help with the lock if needed.

Urdur waits above the water line, using the torch and any other means available to try to dry off himself and his belongings.
