Yes, sorry. The first alcove had nothing in it but broken statues, like the rest of this tier.

Cool. Just checking. If I don't Cruloc will berate me again

We might be dealing with something like a medusa or basilisk.

I've been meaning to say for a while that Cruloc's two most recent posts are outstanding.

Re: Illusion and Reality (ooc and questions VIII)
Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. My wife's birthday fell on Easter this year (for the first time...in forever) and the party started on Friday and didn't end until later Sunday night. I paid for it yesterday...and I'm still moving slow today
But it was a good time!
And I will add another vote for Yrkoon's posts! Fantastic!

That is indeed high praise!
Thank you, Pict brother, DM, and Argossean ranger!
I'm willing to bet (in Cimmerian, "I'll wager") that keeping Inferno entertained makes Cruloc immortal. Enjoy the afterlife, suckers!

Grandfather needs a torch so that the basilisk/medusa/whatever can see itself in the mirror.
If he cannot carry both the torch and the mirror, someone needs to. Whoever that someone is, they would need to be blindfolded.

Re: Illusion and Reality (ooc and questions VIII)
Good thinking. I hadn't considered the light source. I double checked to be sure - Grandfather should be able to carry both a torch (60gp weight) and a mirror (5gp) as his maximum carrying capacity is 200gp.
Grandfather doesn't need to be able to cover the entire floor (assuming an open plan like the statue floor) he just needs to get to the middle, where he could attract the gaze of whatever it is we're dealing with here. So Kiri doesn't necessarily need to be right in front, he just needs to be in range of the middle of the room. Then again if it isn't open, but, for example, a maze, then our DM is clearly evil.
Thank you for coming to my Fantasy Ted Talk.

Also, everybody praises the sophistication of Yrkoon's posts (and rightly so) but I managed to get a mention of "armpit farts" into mine. I feel like I deserve some sort of medal.
