Jaelen nods to Faron recognising the same battleworn and weary disposition of one like he, who has travelled far and seen too many dark nights. "The darkness creeps over this land and the people lose hope against the horror, I've seen look before amongst my kin" then pointing back from whence he came "I journey from the Duchy of Geoff through the Dim Forest Gap on my way to Bissel, Iived among these kind people, I've done what I can, ministered and prayed with them, but they fear something in the night that they dare not name or let me know "
Standing before you is a young man, tall and waif like. His piercing eyes burn with a holy intensity and imbibe him with an aura of strength that belies his frame. He carries the mace of a Cleric.
"I am Jaelen Mwyr servant of Pholtus, I would help if you'll have me?"

Mouser shares guiltily at the old woman as he slowly stuffs the second blanket into his pack. His eye dart side to side to see if the others are doing the same. He mumbles something then leaves a handful of gold coins on the bedside table. One more quick glance to the old lady he hoists his pack and moves out.
“Jaylen - yeah, yeah we got it. ‘hello’ and all that. They’ll be time for introductions on the move! And we need to be moving!”

Urdur looks over their new companion, and nods in agreement with Mouser.
I'm Urdur, he says. We'd better get a move on if we have any hope of saving Ingrid.
Torch in hand, he sets out with the others.

How do we know you're not a donkey-brained man?

"Thank you, sir, you're very brave," Telkis replies to the rabbit, "Now go make yourself safe."
He nods to the newcomer, Jaelen. Images of former party members who have not made it this far flash through his mind. I'm Telkis. "We're happy for your help. I'd say it was a pleasure to meet you were we in different circumstances... as it is, I wish you the best of luck. We're trying to save our friend from... you know..." Unwilling to name their quarry out loud, he snarls and simulates fangs with his fingers.

Jaelen suddenly realises why the villagers are so worried about what the night brings... he grips his mace, and checks his holy symbol, takes a big gulp and says as bravely as he can "lead on, lets hope your friends will is strong"ChubbyPixie wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 1:03 pm Unwilling to name their quarry out loud, he snarls and simulates fangs with his fingers.
