Re: Dreams in Darkness (ooc and questions X)
We finished the 5e version in October.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Hey everyone,
I'm back! New DM post is up. I hope you all had a good week.
With so many of you playing Ravenloft recently, I'll continue to drastically alter the source material to keep you on your toes. After all, this Greyhawk has markedly changed.
Were/are you playing 5e Ravenloft face to face?

I played probably 40 years. My memory wouldn’t hold even if it was only a year ago.
All I remember was it was a TPK - so… there ya go.

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Re: Dreams in Darkness (ooc and questions X)
I played one session on Roll20. It was a TPK. 1st level characters vs a lot of high level monsters. Bad DM error.

Sorry, Pixie and Raven. That's three and a half days. The horror must not be delayed!
Everyone,
In the IC thread, plans for the rest of the night and the morning please? Thanks!

Wow. I'm so spoiled by PbP, I can't imagine the scheduling for that anymore.

About 33.33% of the time it falls through and we have to reschedule...

Re: Dreams in Darkness (ooc and questions X)
I have a every other Saturday Skype game with my friends from MS/HS it's awesome. There are seven of us, so even if one or two miss, the game is still on. Saturday night for 50 year olds is no biggie, and every other week fits really well. It's been working since April 2020!

That's so nice. Your PCs must be pretty high level by now.

Re: Dreams in Darkness (ooc and questions X)
We've rotated DMs and have two sets of PCs at this point, but the original crew is 9th level which is pretty cool!

Re: Dreams in Darkness (ooc and questions X)
I'm in two weekly games. Sunday morning/ early afternoon is my 5e Adventurers League game, played on Roll20 and Zoom. This is where we played Curse of Strahd.
My other group is Tuesday evenings, and I've been part of that group since after Gamehole Con 1 (so 11 years now). We used to meet in person at a game store, and there were several tables of different systems being played. One of the people who GMed a lot retired and moved back to Michigan to take care of his mom. We converted that game to online, and have kept playing online since. When COVID hit and people stopped playing in stores, we kept right on rolling since we were already playing online. It was made up of a group of us who tended to play together often, no matter which one was running something, so it was really easy to keep the group together.
We've had a few come and go in the time we've been online, but we usually have enough for two campaigns at a time. This group plays a wide range of games, usually something that someone bought and wants to run. I've run 5e and Paladin, but we've also played Monster of the Week, Call of Cthulhu, Zweihander, Vaesen, Cyberpunk Red, Savage Worlds, John Carter of Mars, DCC...

Just an aside, that garlic is old, as you say. Dried and withered, it's lost its aroma and potency, fyi.
