Okay, we have Walt and Arkar with a plan to lure psi talent with a gambling den, though they have no idea if they will be allowed back on the planet yet. What are Garvin, Jaelah, and William doing? Will Walt and Arkar be starting their escapades by strolling though customs and seeing what happens?

No, was planning on letting our official status of nobility (crown nobility at that) secure access to the planet then execute the plan in cognito.

BTW, my other mission option was to initiate a bounty issued by the Earl of Vincennes- Walter Slaine- for an insane amount of reward money on Aki for covert information leading to the arrest of psionics (info to be provided to a specific hotline established by him). Then we as both nobility and as bounty hunters go after the outed individuals or groups...but I figured a gambling tournament hoping to fish them out might be a lot more fun. Keeping that other option in my hip pocket for later if needed.

I meant to say that maybe Aster could have the Imperial Department of Justice inform the local authorities that the two were operatives. Perhaps she could arrange a fine to be paid.

”Hey, hey, let’s talk about this. I am exceedingly confident in Arker’s and my ability to use a Bianca/Metz disguise and our teleport to successfully smuggle ourselves on planet. But do we need to?

You are all trying to do good things for the people of Aki. We’re also trying to establish an immigration recruiting effort. Why put either of those at jeopardy needlessly. While the probability of failure of our self-smuggle is extremely low, the consequence of failure is the undoing of both those other worthy objectives. Some random event could prove catastrophic to our main purposes in coming to Aki again…besides checking out our moon base again now that we’re growing as Ancients.

We don’t even know if a psi cabal even exists on Aki, let alone the slim chance that we run across any of them with the gambling scheme. Ciencia has us scheduled for a few dozen other stops before we get to our polity. Let’s not put doing good at risk. There will be more opportunities to try this out if we can’t arrange a welcome visit to Aki.”

Garvin agrees with Walter "You make a good point. We don't want any compromise to the good deeds we're doing here. I'm willing to have a go in on the diplomatic front but I suppose even that might backfire. Unless we have some red 'ot lead on a Psionic Institute actually bein' 'ere it sounds like we're chasin' long odds. We could keep our powder dry until we get better Intel on another planet".

He adds amiably "Don't get me wrong though - I'll go whichever way you want on this".

If not, we try elsewhere.

Keep our disguises and strong psi abilities for getting out of a scrape unidentified should our op go sideways...avoid an official altercation should it happen.

In that diplomacy, we should probably focus on our patents of nobility and our law enforcement credentials...downplay the bounty hunter credentials. Emphasize we've become much more than we were with a much larger community awareness than when we were "merely" bounty hunters. And I'm certainly not the guy who should work the diplomacy...even if I wanted to.

Emphasize we've become much more than we were with a much larger community awareness than when we were "merely" bounty hunters. William spoke up. "I agree that it is best to try to keep with in the bounds of legality if we can. Let's start on the Imperial side first so we don't to piss anyone off by stepping on their toes. The planet has a count assigned. What do we know about them and can we get an audience ASAP. I'm sure they will be more than happy to help the Imperial Consort with local contacts."
