@Norjax - Drakshar has Navigation. Is it sea or land navigation, o can it be used in both situations?

His skill in Navigation may be used to modify any roll involving General Navigation, so its applicable to both land and sea.

A reminder of how Usage Dice work:

Example Usage Die starting at 1d8:

At each use, roll 1d8. A result other than a "1" and the device functions normally. If the die result is a "1", the device functions normally but the next time a 1d7 is used. Each "1" reduces the die down the chain until you reach 1d3. Once a "1" is rolled on the 1d3, the device is inert.

Die chain: d8 -> d7 -> d6 -> d5 -> d4-> d3

I've got the Blaster Pistol now at a d4 power roll. I could be wrong but I've been updating my macro as I've gone along.

Silvestri also has the goo food maker at a d8.

I need to add some items into my macro list.

FWIW, I ran a quick simulation on the dice chain, starting at d8. The median number of rolls to exhaust the barrier device is about 31—i.e., we've got a 50/50 chance that it lasts for 31 uses. There's a 75% chance it lasts for at least 24 uses, and a 90% chance we get at least 18 uses.

So I wouldn't worry too much about wearing it out quickly.
