Joe says, "The next step up, and it would be a short one, would be to fill in that deep dark hole with dirt and expunge any record of us ever existing."

That does beg the question: what kind of partnership arrangement are we really working with here? So far, we just kind of got excited about a ship and we all went to work. Have we made any decisions on bringing Tut and Hol into our company or us joining Hol’s crew of flight-less birds? What would that arrangement look like?
As for going in, I’d rather stay here, but I think my talents are better used by the group, company, whatever this is in selling these parts.”

Mick-
”Yeah, you floored all of us with the revelation of this ship and the ship graveyard. It totally slipped my mind about the parts contribution.
I’m not going to nit-pick about exact dollars and cents in the buy-in to the company. We had help getting our venture up and running, so a good faith contribution of 175k credits apiece by two good blokes sounds like a very reasonable full partnership.
To seal the deal in all our minds….
He extends his hand to Hol and Tut.
”So, the ship is entirely Hol’s property. The company entity is our partnership. The only thing to resolve is, assuming we can ever get this bucket of bolts airborne or space borne, is the relationship of the ship and company. Do we, as a trading and adventuring company, pay the ship owner the ship’s operating expenses, while the company conducts future trade. Our enterprise’s proceeds first pay Hol the operating expense, then the rest of the revenue goes to expanding trade and paying ourselves?
That seems to me like a fair deal if the Company provides labor, revenue, trade and regulatory expertise, etc. to getting this ship rebuilt.
Thoughts?

Y2156.11.24 morning at Ellie’s Compound
Tut’s ‘Ellie questions’ to Juliette were answered with little more than a shrug. “Ellie didn’t write anything down. She would just talk to ‘her patient’. So any notes she has are probably in that creepy ship.”
A summary of the ship’s parts and status is as follows:

A summary of the ship’s parts and status is as follows:
- You have 1800 kg of COCKPIT/BRIDGE parts (qual 11) worth Cr 247,500. With about 5000 man-hours of labor needed to raise it from the current (qual 3) to Certified (qual 6).
- You have 1000 kg of MD parts (qual 8) @ Cr 175,000. With about 7000 man-hours of labor needed to raise it from the current (qual 5) to Certified (qual 6).
- You have 2000 kg of STATEROOM parts (qual 8) @ Cr 125,000. With about 8000 man-hours of labor needed to raise it from the current (qual 5) to Certified (qual 6).
- [Note: The “Man-Hours” are actually ‘Man-Hours’ x ‘skill Level’, so skill-3 working for 10 hours = 30 ‘man-hours’ of repairs. Skill-0 counts as 1/2.]

SHIP: “I have detected we are under imminent threat of attack. A military scout is currently observing our position from the woods. I could fire our missile at it. I estimate a 66.67% chance of successful launch, however the explosion will reveal our position and this ship is not yet operational. That would be a poor tactical choice.”

Tut "Could you bring up the bogey on a map of the area on the comp?"
SHIP: “Affirmative.”
(an exact location was identified on your map. On one of the few working displays on the bridge - the best location to access the Starship's data files - displayed a high resolution synthetic vision image of a man hidden on a ridge overlooking your camp. From the details, you could detect a Military Rifle with an under-barrel grenade launcher and scope. The man appeared to be using a parabolic "shotgun microphone" to listen. The image was adjusted for the green through UV spectrum including wavelengths not visible to the human eye ... like looking through alien electronic binoculars ... and generally ignored the red and IR end of the spectrum.)
Tut and Hol left the ship to rejoin the others outside ... still discussing plans for heading back and who should stay to work on the ship. Juliette was interested in learning more about "Hunting" from Mick and was offering tips on "Blade Combat" in exchange [Mick quickly discovered that Juliette was barely competent as a Hunter, but was absolutely deadly in CQB.]

While cooking the group’s meal over a fire and always good for a story, Mick begins regaling Juliette with the story of the the Arctic Comm Tower job…of course, focusing on the Polar Badger family, giant insects, and both big hunters. He’s just showing her the video of the broadcast of the Arctic Wolves attacking the moving shootout and his radio broadcast warning them of impending danger when Tut and Hol arrive.
Re: Y2156.11.24 Brulatfort (Chester, DJ, Hol, Joe, Mick & Tut)
Tut types on his had computer before he leaves the ship.
"We have had a breakthrough with the computer, there is a snooper in military gear on the ridge behind us to the right, he can hear us. Juliette, please announce your using the bathroom and slip out and capture it so we can question them."
He says passing his hand comp around, Juliette first.
"I got a new list of what we need for the bridge, I found a bad flux flux capacitor. Can anyone else see anything else we need?"
Hands the computer to Juliette.
"II could use some food."
He sits down.

Y2156.11.24 noon at Ellie’s Compound (Chester)
Y2156.11.24 noon at Ellie’s Compound (Chester)
Chester scouted the party with a shotgun microphone and his Advanced Scope. They SOUNDED like merchants gathered around the ship and Chester wondered if they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Then a woman straight out of a ‘New Dawn’ recruiting poster joined them for breakfast.
Chester wondered if it was some sort of an Arms Drop, until the woman began hanging all over one of the men as if they were a couple. Two of the men disappeared into the ship and the New Dawn female Combatant proved cordial with several of the men and appeared to watch training films with one of them.
The two men exited the ship discussing “repair parts” and the woman left, disappearing into the woods to use the latrine. Chester considered attempting to use this opportunity to ambush and capture the woman, but his orders had been to observe and gather data. With the ship in need of repair, Chester decided to set up a hidden camera and the Shotgun Microphone to observe the camp. He had finished concealing them and was falling back to radio results before establishing a new lookout position from another angle.
It was more a ‘feeling’ than anything he saw or heard, but Chester almost had time to get his weapon into position when …
Juliette spotted the Soldier moving away from the camp. There was no mistaking that weapon. For a moment, her old training came back … ("You are a Warrior and it is the duty of every Warrior to kill the enemy. All of our enemies!”) … Juliette shook away the words echoing in her memory. Ellie had told her that she didn’t need to live like that any more. Ellie had said that ALL Strangers are not enemies. It would be so easy to kill him … a three shot burst should do it … but Ellie taught her that killing was only a last resort. Juliette wondered what the LEADER would have said about Ellie’s advice, and what ELLIE would have said to the Leader. That would have been an interesting meeting, for sure.
Juliette set down the pneumatic crossbow and drew her Combat Blade. Stalking as she had been taught, she tensed and … POUNCED.
Juliette leapt forward as Chester started to raise his weapon. She grabbed him from behind and placed the blade against his neck avoiding the Helmet and Armor. “Move an inch and you die.” she whispered into his ear.
Chester felt the razor sharp blade crease his skin from just the slight pressure. A trickle of blood ran down his neck. Whoever she was, she KNEW how to use a blade as well as any Master Sergeant CQB Instructor.
Juliette led Chester, hands tied behind his back, into camp. She set his ACR on the table.
[unknown to Juliette, Chester had made a successful STR check and had gradually weakened to the point of ready-to-break the natural rope on his hands. Chester only “appears” bound, he can break his hands free effortlessly at any time. Leading him back to camp, Juliette maintained vigilance with her Crossbow and making a move then would have only gotten Chester shot three times.]
