The room on the left side of the main entrance looks like it might be a dwelling space, though it doesn't seem all that fancy. There are two circles of what seem to be sleeping pods that can hold six people each, a furnished area with eating surfaces, and what looks to be a fresher block at the back of the chamber. It looks pristine.



The spybots going the other way show a room with an almost identical purpose, but it seems to have been ransacked.

Studying the spy bot feeds Garvin asides to Arkar "My new digs seem kushti but yours need a bit of work. Warned you about rentin' 'em out over the local net... Gotta watch for that. Lettin' the hoi polloi in... they're always goin' to leave yer gaff in a right two and eight".

He then adds carefully "The layout as is. Just for meself I'm tryin' to avoid thinkin' of anythin' medical an' just seein' it as a fat bloke wearin' boxin' gloves... or maybe a flower... 'Ere you ever do any o' them Rorschach tests? Ruddy spooky stuff goin' on right there - near as dammit matched every serious rumble I've ever been in...".

Don't forget that now that you're inside an atmosphere, you can use the forensic tools, too.

The tools to get measurements from video are quite advanced, so there is no need to actually measure things by hand. Recording it will suffice.

Your suit can record 72 hours of high-quality 360-degree video and audio. The spybots swarming around can record and store 65 hours of high-definition video and audio. Then there is your new neural link. It can record and store up to 144 hours of high-quality video and audio, though it would only be able to record what your suit passes on, so some reduction in quality.

There is no DNA or the like. Whatever happened here was long enough ago that the traces have degraded, if there ever were any.

He’ll do a security walk of the room first, then settle in for a thorough investigation…keeping either his rifle or new advanced pistol handy the whole time.

The sleep pods look serviceable, but nothing to write home about. They are big enough for humans or Vargr but could also house Dryone.

The eating counter looks plain. It's hard to get a feel for what its texture is like through the suit gloves. The seat looks sturdy.

Touching a symbol produces a hologram of what looks like a bowl of gruel on the tabletop. Also, that symbol is glowing brighter and the others have dimmed.

Blimey, the destruction of a galactic civilization could 'ave kicked off right 'ere over an inappropriate comment about a choice of muesli... Or maybe we can't an' won't know - an' I'm double delighted with that. Do yer crime scene thing Jaelah. Maybe see if "mere mortals" were involved. Even if they weren't I'll bet "mere mortal motives" were. Ruddy 'igher civilization? My money's on someone's pint got spilled or someone's other 'alf got eyed up. ”Nah…I’m frequently told I’m a five-year-old. Just can’t resist. You want fried baked crickets with your oatmeal?” as he taps both the Holo-gruel and the highlighted symbol…expecting that tap to confirm his choice for the fabrication of a bowl of…whatever.

Then he’ll hit holo-buttons until he finds a proposed holo of a donut…which he’ll select.

Touching the symbol again, causes the table beneath the hologram of the gruel to rise up like a metal bowl to cup the holographic food. The table also extrudes a spoon of the same metal. Touching the holographic food makes the hologram vanish, only to be replaced moments later by steaming gruel that appears from nowhere in the bowl. It seems to be real now.

Then he’ll hit holo-buttons until he finds a proposed holo of a donut…which he’ll select.
