Sigrid Wellhouse local cartographer greets the group as the enter his business "Hmm yes I do have some maps or that area. Though on this map it is listed as unnamed I haven't updated it with the name it was merely unnamed at the time, I'll fix that." he takes out an inkwell and a quill and writes the name on the map. "There, let that dry for a bit before you take it if you are indeed interested. The location is near a moor, but it used to be a swamp, but it's dried up recently in the last couple of years."

"Thank you master Wellhouse, I think it would be very useful for us to purchase the map for our travels. I was also hoping you might give me some advice on suitable cartography materials to take travelling, maybe a leather bound journal and charcoals?"

Master Wellhouse thank you for the fine map and the additional notation. Had you never heard of Labalna before this day? How were you so quickly able to place on the map if was not known to you? Do you know anything regarding this previously unknown area?

It's a small town on your way to Kelvin down by the Kelvin moor, formerly Kelvin marsh." as for Weston's question "Well I have plenty of books with blank parchment pages and some nice charcoal, and quill and ink kits if you are looking. A good scroll case and some rolls of good parchment paper might work best if you want to protect it from the elements further. We could sell you a jar of beeswax that works well in protecting paper from water damage." the map is for sale for around 100 gp but the group should have that kind of coin from the treasure of the last adventure.

"I count 7 of us unless I'm mistaken", Trist says. "So the map would cost us 14 gp ea for 6 of us and I'll pay 16gp. Jivet this should give you a chance to stretch your wings a bit. Nice huh. No messing with farm animals. Just wild beasts and evil monsters."

Trist pays Sigrid out of her coin pouch and just collects the coins from her friends to minimize any delays.

"I thought we were travelling farther and were needing a cart driver? I may have misheard though."

Sigrid "You would want a cart, each hex on that map is ten miles." he says. Then he pulls out a book and flips through for pricing "A Scroll case is 8 silver pieces. Ink well for black ink is 1 gold piece or 25 silver pieces for assorted colored ink. A quill is fice coppers, Book with blank pages varies in price Book, Blank (100 pages) Papyrus 160gp 2 Parchment 220gp 2 Paper 275gp 2 Vellum 400gp depends on the medium that suits you best. The beeswax jar is about 5 silver."

Would it be reasonable for me to reimburse someone from my share of the future spoils? I find that my purse is quite light.

nobody should be light there was a lot of coin from the last adventure just I didn't know how the group was going to split it.

Perhaps just divide it up evening and should any of the members gets less in magic items provide them a more appropriate split.

Begging everyone's pardon why I was wrong about my purse and would be happy to contribute to purchasing the map and hiring a wagon driver to convey us to Labalna. I also wonder what is causing the swamp to drain.

Sigrid looks surprised "Please please I only need it paid for once, lets not all try and pay for it, I only have a few copies but if you all insist on paying then you can each have a map." not looking to scam folks of coin without receiving good paid for as that is not the type of man Mr. Wellhouse is he starts pulling out his 3 other copies of the map. "It has been good seeing you again Weston, i take it you took my teachings to heart and wish to set out and map things yourself, this is very pleasing I am glad it took your interests."

"Having 2 isn't a bad idea. As a Wayfinder I know how to read maps and am usually point so I should probably carry one and Weston is a cartographer so he should have one as well."

Weston smiles "Thank you for finding the time to teach me. I am sure it will be very useful, for adventuring and beyond. The detail of it does align with my general mindset. Who knows, maybe I can make and start selling maps to infamous dungeons as a side-line."
