In the Jotens - Late Afternoon / Early Evening
Godsday, 11th day of Planting, 597
6th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 46/63)
Androgost (AC 5, HP 23/65, Armor 24/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 23/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 43/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 41/50)
Hex (AC 0, HP 21/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)
Boff (AC 7, HP 19/61)
Frannie (AC 9, HP 15/26)

First Siouxsie goes in alone and returns safely telling some details of the area, then Nah Olos tries to listen into the Hallucinatory Forest but does not hear much but the tweet of a bird. Then Hex casts his Detect Illusion spell and wanders into the Hallucinatory Forest while Raffi is waiting for Hex to return. When Hex returns Raffi then tries to scout the perimeter, but realizes that is something he has a hard time understanding.

Hex shares with the group a silver necklace with pendant and two decorative metal vials. Decoratively carved, but very dented and scratched up. Both vials are sealed.

Is the group staying here? If so, is it normal watches?

Hex returns to Souxsie, and asks her about the brown/black bugs. Are they natural, or something that can turn into something more monstrous do you think?

When he holds up the pendant he informs the others he reckons it’s worth about 350 golds or so. There are diamond flecks in the metal there, see! he points out.

I see Qleceec's request to keep going, looking for a second or a disagreement.

Siouxsie

I am fine to go elsewhere. My feelings on the forest is that it had been used previously, probably a ling time ago and is not set up as a direct threat. Cast in the same way I cast mine, usually as a form of defense. Unless it is hiding something, an entrance to an underground cave, I suspect it is just 'a forest to camp in'.

If my own druid skill perceives it for the illusion it really is, then a search might reveal any hidden entrances. I can scout the area covered by the illusion just to be sure.

In the Jotens - Dusk
Godsday, 11th day of Planting, 597
6th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 46/63)
Androgost (AC 5, HP 23/65, Armor 24/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 23/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 43/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 41/50)
Hex (AC 0, HP 21/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)
Boff (AC 7, HP 19/61)
Frannie (AC 9, HP 15/26)

Qleceec doesn't like the random magically trees and even though Siouxsie and Hex gave it the all clear the group decides to move forward a little more. As the light continues to fade, about 3/4 mile down the trail the group finds a slightly elevated (about 10' above the trail) section right as the trail has a slight bend. This place does allow the the group to see people traveling down the trail from either direction (light pending of course). There is no evidence of fires or other habitation visible to the party.

Qleceec it is clear to you that five or more humanoids wearing boots with a 6-7' height have come through this area (e.g. the campsite) - perhaps five days ago.

Perfection may be to much to ask for. Actions?

Both Boff and Frannie will help set up camp. Boff will also see if he can find likely "sneaky" avenues of approach and set up improvised "noisemaking" traps along them. Dry branches to snap, vines at ankle level to make someone stumble, etc.

Siouxsie

Hallucinatory Forests are permanent until dispelled. I won't cast another, the other one may have be fine enough to camp under. Whatever, I will help camp, guard, cook as needed.

In the Jotens - Dawn
Waterday, 12th day of Planting, 597
7th day since leaving Loftwick

Qleceec (AC 1, HP 47/63)
Androgost (AC 5, HP 24/65, Armor 25/26)
Nah Olos (AC 4, HP 24/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 44/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 42/50)
Hex (AC 0, HP 22/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)
Boff (AC 5, HP 20/61)
Frannie (AC 4, HP 16/26)

The group sets up camp, with Boff, Frannie, Hex and Raffi taking extra care on setting up camp security. As the night progresses a low cloud runs through the area reducing visibility by about half and ruins much of the work that Boff and Frannie set-up. Luckily either the cloud adds some protection or there is no hostile creatures in the area. The dawn comes soon enough in what would normally make the party happy. As the sun rises, it becomes clear that today the group could have to deal with at least a little mud. There is a light mist falling and perhaps this cloud is not so small as it first seemed. The temperatures are in high 50s with a slight 5 MPH wind, but some grumbling starts when everyone realizes that without the horse you will matching through the mud today with the wind and rain blowing into your face.

Any final spells before the morning refresh?

Garrant

Before praying, Garrant offers up a healing spell to Androgost, Nah Olos and Boff:

Androgost:

CLW: [1d6+2]=1+2=3

Nah Olos:

CLW: [1d6+2]=3+2=5

Boff:

CLW: [1d6+2]=5+2=7

And then his final spell to Androgost again:

CLW: [1d6+2]=6+2=8

Hex will collect his two warning stones and memorise magic mouth, and cast it, on one of the used stones to replace it, instead of his hypnotic pattern spell.

Raffi packs the pairs belongings and is ready when the others deem it time to set off, after partaking in some rations with his master for breakfast.

The pair will look for a way to refill their waterskins also.

Nah Olos before the group leaves he chats with Siouxsie "So, why would anyone leave such a spell active? Is there a way for others to cancel it?"
As they head out falls in line as usual. "So, how late will we be?"
