Wanting to hang onto his spells and diminishing sling Bullets, the cleric hangs back and let's the others have at it.

The ranger circles the combatants, not firing into their melee for fear of hitting one of his companions. From the looks of it, he doesn't figure the hobgoblin to last long. He has an arrow ready, just in case.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
The battle finishes fairly quickly, the combined effors of Egon and Grimnir finish off the brute but not without someone taking an injury in the process. Egon takes a hit from the orog's khopesh 5 dmg! then he and Grimnir both land a hit on the creature finishing him off. He slumps to the floor a stunned look on his face, his sword slips from his hand to the floor with a metal clang, and the orog falls face down dead in his own gorwing puddle of blood.
Khopesh [1d20+2]=14+2=16 to hit, [2d4+1]=4+1=5 dmg
Attacks 1-3 = Egon 4=6 = Grimnir [1d6]=2
The rest of the enemy is now all either magically sleeping or held in a magic hold spell. You path is clear to do as you wish with them, tie them up, question them, beat them, or kill them.
What will you do next?

Egon will finish off the enemies as quickly as he can. Then do a quick search for anything valuable (keys etc).

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
Making quick work of the rest of the army of the evil queen. Searching their belongings you find a paltry amount of coins
60 sp, 12 gp, and 6 ep.
Each creature had some sort of sword, each hobgoblin had a whip and a short sword of decent quality. The orog both had khopesh swords of masterwork quality. Clearly the Queen has some sort of smiths locally in this fort. All of the creatures were armored though the larger guards were wearing very nice quality chainmail. The hobgoblins were only wearing studded leather. You do find one set of keys on one of the defeated foes. On poor dead Krofter you find merely the dagger he attacked one of the guards with. Testing the keys you find that one of the keys does fit the lock to the door in the wall that looks as if it might go into the fortress.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
DM: Where are we exactly? There is a map posted on January 3 (on page 15). Are we at that crossroads?
Also, how many arrows was I able to recover?
Zylore
"Egon, take the keys and lead us deeper in; I will be beside you," the Ranger says.
"Therick, Trist > how are you looking on spells? I'm guessing we'll need your firepower as we go deeper in."
"And to our divine guides," he says, nodding to Weston, Delsenora, and Grimnar, "be ready with spell and weapon, as we will surely need your expertise. This is only the tip, friends. We have much farther to go."
OOC: Sorry, if this is a bit much, just trying to get into character, and calling names helps me with that.

Re: Chapter 6: The Evil Queen & Her Fortress
I would gauge that you have been exploring for probably at least 6 hours since you last rested. However, you do have that little hide away cave on the surface that is concealed enough to use as a sort of base of operations for at least a short term if you need to rest up again. But not the place will probably be on alert.

I would prefer to keep moving forward and find a place to hide inside the fortress if possible. Otherwise will will have to fight our way past more guards every time we try and get in.

I don't mind at all if we press on but I laugh at 'resting', while 'inside' an enemy's fortress!
