Sorry for my confusing wording, Bob.

Maxon was hit, but he can escape without need for a roll and take his action as normal.

He isn't currently held or prone in any way.

Cormag shouts for Maxon to retreat, and sends two arrows flying for the undead, but it appears that he is focussing to much on missing Maxon to connect with the creatures!

arrow Hit [1d20+1]=4+1=5 Damage [1d6]=1
arrow Hit [1d20+1]=2+1=3 Damage [1d6]=5
eep down to 6 arrows.

Ceana

Jumping back and away from the slime, Ceana says, "Leave it! We'll deal with it later!" and hurries to the doorway to stand beside Taibhse. When one of the zombies moves in, she attacks feebly with her falcata.

Belloc

already moving to the doorway with the Greek fire container in hand he throws it down the east corridor (at the floor) trying to contain the advancement of the zombie horde before they reach us (his intention is to throw the Greek fire on the floor and hopefully deter the undead from closing in to melee, im not sure if they care about fire but its worth a shot, at least they'll have to move through the fire maybe causing some damage)

then seeing his the ooze threat left alone he doesn't hesitate and moves back to try and what he can
THE ACID!!! its still as deadly!
he moves circling the acid and keeping as much distance as he can, prepares his sling to continue throwing stones at the ooze

OM playing for keeps, I see. Disabling the cleric right before the undead show. Excellent planning.
Or did the undead set an ooze trap?

I swear to the gods that when I was reading through this section of the adventure I thought to myself...... Well, they better have a good cleric along with the group, and not go into the ooze room first.

The targeting was totally random, of course.

Tuurma grabs the hand axe offered by Taibhse, pushes through Ceana, ignores Belloc, and also ignores his fire. Seemingly unaware of her horrible acidic burn wounds, she throws herself at the approaching zombies in the fire with a howl, swinging the axe madly around her.

If the 10 second round permits attacking as well and if the move was valid:

Hand axe attack raging: [1d20+3]=5+3=8 dmg [1d6+3]=1+3=4
Hand axe attack raging: [1d20+3]=6+3=9 dmg [1d6+3]=2+3=5

The smoke from the greek fire she's standing in seems to temporarily blind her however. dice roller ffs

The Lost Mausoleum
Second Thoughts

As the newcomer tosses a green vail of liquid that lands harmlessly upon the deep sand at the feet of the oncoming zombies, Tuurma bounds directly into the mass of undead flesh escaping the open crypt door. With no armor, and no shield, the berserk woman is as vulnerable as she is deadly. Her attacks do nothing to hurt the monsters, and she is injured by one of their growing numbers in return. 3 dam More groaning can be heard coming from the doorway beyond her.

Returning upset inside the crypt to guard the unconscious cleric, the stranger notices the diminutive but still dangerous ooze has already started crawling in the direction of the unmoving easy meal.

Taibhse fires at the oncoming cadaver, noticing that his normally dangerous arrows, though hitting squarely, are barely damaging this creature. Ceana takes a wild hack, missing the mark, but easily defending herself against its counter.

Behind them, Maxon is about to die. Getting no help from Cormag this time, the Warlock wisely takes advantage of the slower movements of these punishing shamblers, unleashing jets of flame from his hands into the pack that seer and sizzle the rotting flesh. The zombies reel back initially, though despite their smoldering rags and flesh, they slowly rejoin the effort to eliminate all the intruders.

Belloc

finding himself alone with the oozing creature the adrenalin keeps pounding his brain and body, Belloc tries not to panic and think fast, the rush of the arcane power surging within him just a few seconds before still in his mind, he needs to keep control, he is aware the fallen victim though stable cant sustain another attack, the creature will surely kill him
deliberates a second and is ready to throw another stone but amidst the flashes in his mind and idea shines bright, thinking on the behavior of the creature and how it seems to ignore everything but a source of sustenance

he looks for some dried meet among his rations and cuts a small piece to throw it at the creeping creature (always making sure he stays out of reach) he will place pieces in the direction of the crypt trying to lure the creature inside the coffin (what material is the sarcophagus made of?) if he is able he will close the lid when the creature is in there

Ceana

"Damn! We're in a tight spot! We need to fall back and regroup before we get overrun!" she shouts for everyone in the hall who can hear her. Not knowing exactly what to do first, she looks back in the room and sees Kain in the path of the ooze. She darts inside and yells at the newcomer, "Help me put him on my back! I'm going to carry him out!"

Tuurma, blinded by her rage and not caring about anything else than putting her axe into the enemies wildly swings at the mass of zombies.

Hand axe attack raging: [1d20+3]=4+3=7 dmg [1d6+3]=6+3=9
Hand axe attack raging: [1d20+3]=11+3=14 dmg [1d6+3]=6+3=9

5, 6, 4, 11 sigh. hopefully the 14 is a hit for 9 dmg.

please everyone check my "strategy update" in the OOC and get over to Tuurma's front and let's focus on clearing that one instead of three in parallell. Leave the ooze and the other zombies. This way - fighting a three-front war without tank-like PCs - we're dead for sure in a few rounds.

Taibhse

Seeing that his arrows are ineffective he will try the one option that could help. He'll cast entangle down among the zombies fighting Tuurma, trying to get as many of them as possible while leaving her free of the area of effect.

Cormag starts backing to the voices behind him yelling for a regroup as he attempts to send an arrow in the general direction of the zombies on Maxon. It goes poorly.

The Lost Mausoleum
New Additions

Tuurma screams and spits, spinning around wildly as she fights a group of zombies by herself. She slashes one hard enough to drop it, but the remaining pair pummel and bite her in return 7 dam/-3 STR Unsure what is happening to her, the berserk woman suddenly feels a little weaker after getting bit by these unliving beasts. Another thing she finds odd in the flurry of action is that these zombies all share a similar resemblance to each other.

Ceana abandons Taibhse out in the hallway to fend for himself against the zombie they were fighting. Inside she finds the dark stranger already using his rations of salted meat to try leading the oozy monster towards the empty sandstone sarcophagus. The ooze doesn't seem to be taking the bait, but it does stop to absorb any meat tossed directly into it, buying the mage a bit more time. The spunky Kelt tries shouting out a few orders to no avail.

With a zombie now right in his face, Taibhse decides it's time to try a spell. Though there is no vegetation in sight, the Pictish Shaman tries to call on any roots that might be buried in the sand. When he sees another pair of zombies exiting the unexplored crypt behind Tuurma, he centers his magic upon them. Thin, wispy tendrils rise up at the command of the Ghost Bear, but they lack the strength of real live branches and vines. They weakly wrap around the feet and ankles of the 2 rearmost zombies, momentarily preventing them from attacking Tuurma, but the thin bonds wont hold for long. (sorry, best I could do there) :? The zombie in his face tries to bite his nose off, but the attack is easily sidestepped by the lone Shaman.

Cormag moves towards the others and fires again, nearly killing Maxon with is arrow this time. Concerned for his friend who appears about to be overrun by the monsters, all he can do is watch when Maxon stubbornly ignores the cries from the others to retreat, deciding instead to go down fighting. These similar looking mindless zombies are more than happy to oblige, biting and raking exposed flesh, overbearing the already weakened Maxon to the ground, where they all pile on the man, fighting one another to be the first to expose his warm, juicy insides. 5 dam/-2 STR

Taibhse

Yelling out to the others in the corridor "Lets get back in the tomb, the door should hold these creatures back. Give us time to revive the cleric, these things have to be turned and none of us can do it. Quick before they kill us all". With that he'll disengage and move towards the doorway, and begin to get ready to close the door.

Belloc

seeing the blobbing ooze react to the feeding is encouraging, Belloc is fully aware of how the situation is developing so even a delay of the deadly creature is invaluable,
he looks nervously between the individuals at the door and the ooze unsure if they'll decide to run and worried he might be left behind

as he continues using salted meat in an effort to lure the creature to the coffin or at least delay it
