Hi! I've been playing TTRPGs for years, but I was only recently introduced to the PbP format. The first game I ever played was Stars Without Number (Revised), and since then I have played Other Dust, Silent Legions, Blades in the Dark, Burning Wheel, DnD 5E, Veins of the Earth, Esoteric Enterprises, and a number of homebrewed systems. Just to get this out of the way, I'm not a huge fan of DnD. My dream is to be good enough at playing these games to be able to play a long campaign of Burning Wheel, but I'm not there yet.
I discovered the PbP format very informally, first when my friend and I homebrewed possibly the most chaotic system I've ever encountered (when a new element of play was introduced, we rolled a d8 to determine the game system it would come from). We acted as cooperative GMs over google docs, using the Mythic GM Emulator when we weren't sure. Later on, I joined a discord server for a SWN West Marches Campaign, and there was a text channel for in-character chat. There were no rules systems implemented, but we got a lot of cool roleplaying done, and it helped me build my favorite character I've ever played.
I've been working on my skills and comfort as a player and GM, and I was thinking it might be a good idea to get involved in more formal PbP spaces. I recently created a homebrewed setting and rules supplement for playing Worlds Without Number in the world of Legend of Zelda, and while I'd eventually love to run a long in-person campaign, I thought I'd pitch it here and run it by post if there's interest (I'll give that pitch its own post)

Sounds like a chaotic, but fun game!
We've got some of those here
Tool around and see how we roll, and jump on in. Be well and be welcome!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

PS: you need to have two Mod approved posts before you can PM, join games and post without delay.

Welcome!
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
