Trist

If I might be allowed handle the dagger, I could appraise its value. I'm afraid I don't have the spell memorized to determine if it is magical, at the moment.

If given the dagger she will examine it in detail. Marking and quality.

Appraisal Int 18 [1d20]=5

Trist passes on any information she might gather to the group.

Krofter picks up the cloth and unfolds it, the black silk like cloth folds out to be a perfect circle about as tall as a human. The goblin shrugs folds it back up and holds onto it.

The blade though neglected is very sharp Trist discovers, while appraising it she discovers that when pressing one of the studs something springs from the handle of the dagger a crystal that appears to be a long, rough prism. As for the value of the dagger Trist determines it is made of high quality metal and worth quite a bit more than 100 gp. In examining the crystal you notice it has a word on one side of it 'erleuchten' you wonder what does that mean?

Trist

Most interesting. Let me put this back in. There is more to this dagger my friends. There is a word here that may activate this dagger. Without my spells though I cannot tell. I hesitate to activate it not knowing it’s function. Let me reset it.

Trist works to reset it and gives it back.

Trist manages to get the crystal back in, she determines with Misha's confirmation that the handle has some sort of inter-dimensional pocket of sorts that appears to produce one of two tools but only one at a time. Returning the crystal then pressing the any stud after produces a lens this time the lens looks a bit like a monocle in a small frame with a short handle, holding the lens up you can make out minute things much like a ranger spotting details that most eyes would miss. Returning that to the dagger's handle trying the stubs again produces the original crystal and you determine the dagger only stores two items in the strange magical compartment of the handle. Beyond that you feel that the dagger is very well balanced and feels remarkable light, along with the deceivingly sharp blade. It is suspected this will do more than a typical dagger probably even better than a masterwork one.

Krofter brings the strange cloth over and shows it to Misha and Trist "Dis cloth is strange, feels smooth, an opens up to a circle. Gives me a tingling feelin in me hands when I hold it."

Trist

I don't want to give too much info out, so I'll hold back some of my own thoughts on both items. Grin....

This is a very fine dagger indeed. A very nice find. As for the cloth....This cloth is very interesting. I would be very careful with that item.....It is more than it seems I'd imagine. Without my spells I'd be speculating as to any properties it might have. I just get the feeling it's more than meets the eye.

Egon examines the cloth and discovers the same as Krofter tried to relay, the cloth is smooth feels just like silk but is not made of silk it is folded up to about handkerchief size and unfolds to be about a 6' tall circle of black cloth.

Weston perks up as the items are examined

"Very interesting. Apart from cloaks and robes, enchanted items made of material are very rare, almost unheard of. When I was an acolyte there were stories of such, items which were as likely to consume your arm as lead to a hidden pot of treasure. I paid little heed to such things at the time. They should be investigated with time and care."

Trist says softly, "Well folks let's get moving...What's the plan? Try one of the other tunnels? Is there more here to do?

Jivet scout ahead with anyone else.

Trist gets her bow ready.

Egon (mentioned this in a PM to me) takes the cloth and tries wrapping something in it but nothing happens to the object when wrapped in the cloth.

Nothing more is found in the dead ended room of the middle passage, no more hidden treasures, no secret or hidden passages or doors. The only option is go back to the four-way junction or all the way back out to where you selected from the 3 passages.
