What would YOU like to play or run? (Interest Catch-all)

I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.

Anyone game for some British-style OSR dungeon bash? My QUARREL + FABLE is light on rules with an open ended character generation system.

I keep seeing this map from Dyson Logos and wanting to procedurally generate its contents on the fly:

Sean, that's an insane-looking dungeon! Stocking that bad boy would be really fun.

Didn't Dyson make that into a mousepad or something too. Reminds me of that crazy Scottish gaming store dungeon... I'll have to search that up again. :)
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

They are pretty big :)

If you had the data, it could be done programically. Not sure how the ecosystem would work, though.

Considerably filmic, fairly permissive; spatters of tight evocative description rather than reams of text. I recently ran a live play-by-post using Maze Rats and a different Dyson map --- the loosely edited report is here and it gives as good an example of my text games as any other

That was my thought upon first seeing it! It's possible to get the whole thing printed on a metal plate and I'd love to take that to cons, but I don't yet have the funds! (For the map, less the cons.)

I haven't read the entire write-up yet, but that is a heck of a sample.

Is it possible to be a fan of Maze Rats (or Knave) without having ever played it? I'm a big fan of Ben (Questing Beast) but haven't had a chance to actually use any of his stuff yet. The design of his 'The Waking of Willowby Hall' module is awesome! I love (love!) how he thought to number his keyed locations by page number instead of just arbitrarily incrementing the count from one room to the next. So smart.

I've never played Maze Rats but I totally repurposed the magic tables for a game of my own. Ben's random tables are just *awesome*.

The first I ever saw of the room number = page number was Gradient Descent and I love that it's becoming more of a thing!

I certainly think you can be a Knave / Maze fan just from having read them.

I'm thinking of running a Modiphius's Conan game. https://www.modiphius.net/en-us/product ... 888d&_ss=r I've never played it or GMed it, but the game mechanics seem fun. They encourage teamwork among the players. And there's a huge amount of modules/adventures available. But I'd like to do some homebrew too.

Posting rate would be twice per week, or a little quicker if/when we can. If anyone's interested, please post here.

I've been intrigued by actual play of the Dune game, which shares the engine, right? I'd be eager to give this a shot!

I'd guess it's the same 2d20 system for both Modiphius games. Excellent, if we can get a few more players we'll give it a shot. We'll have to kind of learn the system together.

Here are some highlights of the Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed Of system.
-Players roll 2 d20s for actions and attacks. If either roll is below the number required, it's a Success.
-If both rolls are Successes, the second one earns a Momentum point. The Momentum points go into a pool that the players share.
-Players can spend Momentum points for various things, including buying an extra d20 to roll for a difficult task.
-Similarly, the GM accumulates Doom points to add Complications to PCs' actions.

Does Dune have the same system?
