The Bathhouse
Re: The Bathhouse
seeing the necromancer move away Tommy concentrates on the rats and blasts away at them thinking the necromancer might return at ny moment
Eldritch Blast- to hit:[1d20+7]=17+7=24 damage:[1d10+4]=8+4=12
Eldritch Blast- to hit:[1d20+7]=12+7=19 damage:[1d10+4]=5+4=9
nervously loos down the corridor expecting a spark of a fireball to fly down towards them and looking to cover his companions trying to recover,
hell fire down the corridor past his friends if he sees movement from the necromancer
"she might return with a vengeance, we cant take another explosion like that, lets try to move apart at least we wont all catch it"

Ambergris
A brief respite, sure the witch will return to her domain. For now she is terrorised by voices in her head and the eldritch wizardry of his warlock comrade.
He goes to address the wounds of Lesh, searching his pouches for any 1st Aid Kit to bind wounds and staunch bleeding.

Goes to the person on the slab that the witch was leaning over. If the person is alive he will unbind them from any restraints.
"We should move quick. I expect her to return and finish us and her necromantic deeds."

Re: The Bathhouse
The corpse on the slab of rock is a woman. Her throat has been cut and her body abused, either pre-death or post, you cannot tell. There is also a dusty tome lying on the slab near the corpse's head. The book has black leather covers and sports a tiny, skull-shaped locking mechanism.

Sticks the tome in his satchel for later study between us. He closes the eyes of the lady putting a silver coin on each eyelid. Leaving the room he turns to mage hand the support beams that can be loosened to bring the ceiling down and bury the victim rather than leave her exposed. If she had any dogtags, identification he will swipe those.

Tommy moves down the corridor to guard against the necromancers return
he walks by Lesh trying to see if he's responsive, just a nod and tries to catch his eyes to see if they are normal but continues moving down the corridor, stops at the blind turn and prepares to blast anything he sees before taking a peak (expecting a fire ball he'll try to blast first) he stops before and changes his action
the fucking bitch is going to be waiting he holds

Re: The Bathhouse
not detecting an immediate threat he takes a moment to more carefully observe for signs of where the necromancer fled
Perception: [1d20+4]=15+4=19
then uses the mage hand to open the first door down the corridor

Re: The Bathhouse
Mage Hand Manipulations
While Tommy attempts to track the necromancer, Ambergris attempts to bring down the ceiling in the morgue. After placing a silver coin on the eyes of the corpse to pay the ferryman on her journey into the realm of the dead, Ambergris backs out of the room and summons a spectral hand. He pushes against the timbers supporting the ceiling but they won't budge.
"The hand can't attack, activate magic items, or carry more than 10 pounds."
Lesh gets slowly to his feet and looks around the area. He sees Tommy take a small mirror from his pack, summon a spectral hand and send the mirror down the corridor in hopes of not being ambushed. Tommy sees nothing but empty corridor. So he takes a moment to see if there are signs of the necromancers flight. Sure enough, he sees that the first door has recently been opened because it is slightly ajar. Using the spectral hand, he opens the door...
An ordinary looking rat is the only thing in this 10x10 room; obviously it is hunting for food. A dark corridor leads off to the right...

Re: The Bathhouse
Ambergris
The roof struts more stable than they look unlike the old seadog who looks decidedly as unstable as he seems.
On a whim, he initiates a bolt from the blue, casting Witch Bolt to zap the rat. Somehow it amazingly connects rat tail to hook hand and though would shock the rat, the connection to his own physique does not jolt him with damage. While the hairs on his head rise, he keeps concentration until the rat gets crispy. My initial thought was the witch would hide and either go invisible or turn into a bat, so a rat may be just as good a disguise.
Ambergris invokes Witch Bolt [1d20+3]=13+3=16 lightening damage [2d10]=10
hoping he hasn't blown his last spell slot for a pesky rodent.

Re: The Bathhouse
The rat never has a chance...and as the bolt of witchery slams into it, it screeches and explodes, flinging hair and rat parts all over the room.

"Oh! Guess that wasn't the witch then. Must look out for a black cat instead." he says, probably inappropriate in front of a Tabaxi.
He grips his lantern and spear and indicates to press on.

Re: The Bathhouse
Tommy sees Ambergris literally storm in to the room killing anything that moves with in and just holds trying to maintain his composure, once things settle a bit he sees Ambergris continue down the hall and follows about 10 feet behind, thinking he wouldn't want to be in the middle of the electrical storm like that if ambergris decides to kill everything in moving in a room again
i guess we are continuing then...

Re: The Bathhouse
The corridor continues on from the room, even narrowing to about 2 1/2 feet wide. There is about two feet of water again and then a door...
