Jeremy smiles. Thanks! Fred is a good buddy. Oh! You were part of the R&D for the Field Generator? That's some real handy work there! The interface really makes it click. That was some solid programing
GreyWolfVT wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 12:47 am Roy a bit annoyed to be overlooked at his question by Jeremy just focues on the new gear "Uh wait wouldnt that be Fared not Fred then?" then focusing on the other items being rambled off "Woah woah wait there mister Spangler, Dark mater? Is that safe? Isn't Dark Mater very bad to play with like something even I wouldn't mess with?"
Jeremy Eh... came out about the same.

Dark matter is some fun stuff! I mean... the raw stuff can do some real damage... but when you run it through a positronic beam like we do with the proton pack... then jargon science stuff and it is actually very safe for organic materials.
The shot-gun blast though? Not so much...

Joker
Joker watches the demonstration with a crooked smile. His face shows a mixture of enjoyment for all the cool new toys and annoyance that Jeremy seems to have let his enthusiasm run away with him. He says nothing to Jeremy about this, but starts making mental notes about what to do to "fix" the cobbled-together parts of the new packs.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Clearly excited by the new features, Lionel is grinning like a kid in a candy shop. These will come in real handy, Mr. Spangler! This town is full of ghosts, and we've come across a number of powerful entities so far.

Oh, and I'd like anchovies and jalapenos, please. I know that may not be a real popular option, so I'd be fine with just anchovies if people prefer. Thank you, Jason.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Joker
I will be glad to share an anchovy pizza with you. I just wish American pizza shops offered tuna.

Yes, tuna on pizza is a thing- at least in Germany

I hate fish, so I wouldn't eat pizza with tuna on it unless I was well-paid.

LOL, I don't care for tuna on pizza and I like tuna, but like anchovies on pizza. I obviously like fish but can't eat shell fish so have to be careful with seafood.

I like fish but can't stand anchovies, and I really do not like fish on pizza.

Jeremy thinks about this for a second before answering Roy and Mac Not sure I would bother demons with the Dark Matter. It's more of a PKE disruptor than what you would need to contain or, for lack of a better way to put it, injure it. Demons exist kind of like a bridge between worlds, multi-spectrum is the way we have begun referring to them in the labs. You see, they are certainly on the PKE spectrum, but there is also a physical aspect of to them as well, so they are both here and not here in a physical sense. I think the Dark Matter with a big enough blast could interrupt them give the volume of energy was enough and you had the time, but I wouldn't want to gamble that. I think I would go the Composite Particle System since it could really pack a punch on their physical half, and while they are spending precious energy holding themselves together on the bi-planer level, hit them with an old fashion proton stream and since they would be less anchored and stable. At least, that is how we initially designed with this in mind. We uh... have a shortage of demons to experiment on for "obvious reasons" as my sister says... he makes air quotes and rolls his eyes a bit.

Joker The more he looks at the new packs the more he can see these are somehow simultaneously sleek and new as well as slapped together. Is that duct tape? Everything is clearly made to go together, and intended to, but you get a feeling much like one does from looking at all the 1950 era cars in Cuba. They were engineered at some point, sure, but have also been "made to work" putting new and old together, things that might not have originally been intended for the original design simply added on with the best of intentions but the mismatched seams and janky wiring stick out like a sore thumb to a trained eye.

Jeremy grins back at Lionel and nods. I know right! I can hardly wait to see them in action in a real scenario! This is going to be exciting! Do you have any big jobs lined up? Going to see these things work on a demon would make my day. You did say demon earlier, right?

Jason meanwhile takes everyone's orders but his thought appears to be anyone's guess.

Anyone that wants to roll for checking out the new gear may do so but if you want to dedicate a scene to give them the garage lookover, we will need to make another thread for it or wait for this to resolve itself, either way is fine.

Jeremy turns around to Fred and whistles just as the droid stacks the last of about a dozen 8x8x8 cubes of compressed packing peanuts against the wall. The little robot's "head" turns 180* and whistles back before moving in Jeremy's direction. Good job buddy! How's that for cleaning up, Ma'am? he asked rather proudly towards Julia.

For her part, Julia had tried to keep up with the explanations of the equipment but it was the little droid that seemed to impress her the most. Yes, especially once the crates are out... What else can he do? I think I want one for my apartment, or even around here.

Fred turns to Julia and whistles... well, you know how you would whistle at Julia. She laughs and even blushes a little and the little droid bounces a bit excitedly.

Jeremy grins between them. Well, he likes you, but I'm afraid Fred is a one of a kind. At least for now. But he can do cleaning task like sweet, mob, vacuum, surveillance and security, pest control, water plants, take soil samples so he knows if they need any fertilizer, dust, and even assist in basic engineering task.

Julia a bit flatly. So does it come in pink?

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Well, we don't have anything lined up right now, but things seem to find us. How long are you going to be here?

There is a demon, but we're working on a plan for that. There are some other people in the area we're working with.

Roy sighs and adds telling Jeremy "Yes we have been informed someone in town is being possessed by a demon. That was why I asked you that."

Ooooo... yeah if he is possessed I would not shoot him with this. It would be messy and..... bad. But the demon themselves? Outside of a body?
Definitely. I think I would slime them though. Makes the possessee's body a hostile environment for an infernal entity.

Joker
Joker grins at Julia. If we ever get a Fred, I'm sure we can repaint him- her- for you.

Beyond that, he listens intently to the tech talk, nodding occasionally.
