I'm assuming Ambergris has the mirror since he is the one who fleeced the bodies of the Necromites.
However, going forward, when I give out things like this, along with treasure, if there is no mention of "I put it in my backpack" or "I pick it up and carry it for later" then I will assume no one has it.

The lady in the mirror does not respond or react to the sea captain's attempted mind link or empathy.Tap the frame, talk to the young missy reflected in it. He tries a bit of warlock empathy. As his mind link frames the gift to 'whoever he can see', he tries to connect to the elf on the other side of the reflection.
"Hey babe." when he remembers that Tommy is trying to find someone and his search has led him thus far. "Recognise this person? You can link to her maybe. Try it."
Tommy takes a quick look at the red leather tome and finds it contains the following spells: burning hands, detect magic, disguise self, fog cloud, ray of sickness, silent image.Belkregos wrote: ↑Sat Jan 01, 2022 11:22 pm "that makes sense"
Tommy throws his backpack next to the books and brings the unseen servant to have the books packed inside, if nothings happens he picks up his backpack, keeping one out (the red leather bound) to start studying them

The door to the eastern hallway opens easily, revealing a long hallway with at least two sets of stairs descending further and further below the bathhouse...with one last check around the room - Investigation: [1d20+3]=17+3=20
he commands the ghostly form ahead and begins the exploration again (all the way back to the split room and to the eastern hallway that we haven't explored)
