Saiph
Saiph will hug the wall to the 'south' right next the curtain (to minimise visibility to the oncoming figure) , and then when the figure steps past him he will step out behind and right up close (literally touching the cloak of the figure, no personal space allowed, if he could get under the cloak he would)

Re: CHAPTER 12a: The Fortress of the Plain
Urlando joins Silvelstri and Needle in returning to the central area to find his new companions. If he sees any more of the photon creatures, he will run forth to the closest one and attack.

Fortress Interior 346D/81 (Evening)
Round 4

The speed of light rules the day!
Podo is struck once more, absorbing the burst! (DMG 3)
Denslow receives another blast of energy into his bark! (DMG 6)
---
Anton stands fast and focuses on regenerating his body form. (+6 HP)
Needle moves back into the corridor and heads to the main chamber.
Denslow swats at the photonic insect but cannot connect with its vulnerable mass. (Miss)
Podo, enraged by the light-pests, drops his weapon, smacks both of his fungal palms together and smashes the entity into a burst of sparks! (5pt. dmg) consumes 1 Luck point to hit AC 15
Silvestri heads into the corridor and back to the large round room.
Urlando joins the others and bounds down the corridor and into the large room with the central tower. He sees one remaining purple bug attacking Denslow.
Saiph takes advantage of his size and the apparent lack of awareness from the masked humanoids to sleuth up behind one as it approaches the light barrier. His proximity allows him to press against the folds of its cloak just as the being passes harmlessly through the light barrier with Saiph in tow.
OOC: Saiph, make an Observation roll = 1d20+1)
Max’s life wanes. OOC: Make a 1d20 Luck check for Max.
The remaining attacker has consumed two more pairs of extremities.
All masked humanoids have vacated the area.
OOC: FYI. Since we are still in combat, each character who declared a move was given a double move per their Move Stat. This determined their position on the map.

Silvestri continues to head into the main room

Podo
Reaching down to retrieve his dropped spear, Podo then rushes over to pick up Max's limp, lifeless body. Still wondering where these violet menaces came from and where and why the figures in the red robes all left, he thinks it might be prudent to escape this area as quickly as possible.
I will use whatever movement I can to pick up Max's body and attempt to rush to the closest southeastern corridor. MV 50' at 7 o'clock

Needle
Arriving back in the main corridor Needle sees Max's slumped body and Podo running to them. Out of protective instinct Needle will run over as well. If anything to help carry the body or try and do what he can to lend aid somehow or protect an escape.

Urlando
Seeing Max and Needle running to Max's slumped body, and Denslow seemingly able to handle the purple energy thing, Urlando runs ahead to find another exit for the group to escape from from this tower. He goes counterclockwise to peer down the next corridor to the south.

Re: CHAPTER 12a: The Fortress of the Plain
Anton turns around, evaluating the commotion. Seeing Denslow still engaged in combat, he moves to engage the remaining "bug", hammer in hand.
Not sure if I get an attack this round with that move? ~40'

Fortress Interior 346D/81 (Evening)
Round 5

The light beings are impossibly quick!
The entity consumes its last pair of extremities with a flash against Denslow’s bark! (DMG 4) When the flash subsides, the photonic construct has vanished!
---
Saiph is beyond the light curtain. (Check your PM)
Silvestri moves into the large, round chamber and takes in the scene. (Double Move)
Denslow swings through the air where the purple presence vanished seconds before his attack! (Would have hit but it’s gone)
Podo moves to Max and picks up his limp body in his massive arms. (Move plus action)
Needle bounds at speed over to Max and joins Podo. (Double Move)
Urlando makes haste to the next corridor, south. He reaches the beginning of the corridor and peers into its 90ft. depth. He sees a humanoid standing next to a pod cylinder exactly like the ones sprouting out of the central spire. The pod floats five feet above the floor in the horizontal position. The ten-foot-wide corridor is of similar construction to the other corridors in the structure. The passage widens at the end and just over halfway down. A second pod lies 30ft beyond the first. (Double Move)
Anton spins and makes his way to Denslow, then watches the mysterious bug disappear after attacking Denslow. (Double Move)
Max’s life wanes. OOC: Make a 1d20 Luck check for Max.
All opponents have left the primary tower chamber.
OOC: End of Combat, all actions are now in turns.

Re: CHAPTER 12a: The Fortress of the Plain
Needle
Needle does his best to stop any bleeding or cover wounds that Max may have. He''ll also quickly look over Max's equipment he's visibly carrying to see if he recognizes anything that might help in a medical situation.
He looks at Podo and asks "Is there anything we can do to help? I don't think he's gonna make it much longer!"

Re: CHAPTER 12a: The Fortress of the Plain
Denslow says, Roll the body over, the meat may still have life.
Re: CHAPTER 12a: The Fortress of the Plain
SIlvestri hurries towards Max, he calls and gestures to the others to bring him over to him (not that he can be heard)

Re: CHAPTER 12a: The Fortress of the Plain
Anton turns his attention to party members attending to Max.
"If he has expired we should return his body to his hive for recycling" Anton offers with a cheerful tone, clearly unfamiliar with terrestrial traditions.
