Oh, okay.

My bad trying to speed this along.

Would you like me to have players re-roll? Or can I keep the current rolls and adjudicate Wake's draw last?

No need to re-roll unless they wind up with a void.

The Princess

She thanks Amun and watches with curiosity the picking of tiles. "That is incredible! You say you picked one, felt strange and compelled to pick another? And that one manifested the carpet?!"

"I've heard of such things, decks, I think. Did the tile you pick vanish? Can I look at the box?" The Princess examines the box without taking any tiles, if allowed.

The plaques are situated in a very old, long, narrow, decorative ebony box. The box doesn't appear to have any lock on it, and the hinge on the top of one of the long sides indicates that it must open like a small coffin. A warning of some kind is written in common inside the box lid: Pick A Card, Any Card, But Only One Card Each, Unless Instructed Otherwise. The ivory plaques disappear once their boon/bane is fulfilled.

Feanol

Will gladly show the box to the Princess. She will let the others know she just wants those that helped in the retrieval have their picks before others go.

Keg

Seems unsure looking down at the box of plaques. Then he does what he usually does, and gets irritated to some extent and grumbles under his breath about Damn magic island... and thrust his hand into the box with abandon to see what he draws and holds it up before looking at it a bit more hesitantly than he will ever admit.

Elnaerel

Despite having been against using this thing from the beginning, she finally draws one.

I think this is the correct DCC die considering what the others rolled?

Since everyone is still together in "town", I will adjudicate the picks before pushing along any missions yet.

As The Princess looks over the box carefully, feeling the magic tingling her fingers, others simply start drawing their plaques.

I will lay this out as the picks happen(ed), but everyone who has made a roll so far will be subject to the plaques magic.

Amun is the bravest one, stepping up first, though her dislike for all things magical is apparent on her gruff expression as she reaches into the box.

She pulls out an interesting card and is instantly rewarded. (Please give me a d4 roll and increase her XP by 1,000 times the result. Then give me another d4 roll and add that many points to her attribute scores. {18 max})

The barbarian woman feels a World of advancement as the magic courses through her.

That was obviously a good one.

I will probably do these one at a time whenever I can, so thanks in advance for your patience.

I need new rolls from Feanoll and Elnaerel please.

Feanol's should have actually been a d29 roll instead of the d30 she rolled.

Making Elnaerel's a d28 roll instead of the d27 she rolled.

(I assure you the original rolls were bad ones)

Amun gets something in her eyes and walks slowly but confidently away from the box, all while gripping her giant sword firmly.

"Now she knows, and she will come for them. Revenge will come."

Nice!
Amun can add 3 points to any attribute up to 18 and add 1,000xp to her sheet. Not terrible for someone who's been in the game for about 3 days. :D

Keg sees the warrior woman still around, so he too reaches into the box to pull his own plaque, feeling very strange when he looks into the face of the card.

The Viking fighter instantly feels a bit less wise, and a bit less intelligent, but somehow even more dashing and beguiling. (-1 INT / -1 WIS / +1 CHR) Though he feels the pang of loosing ability in his mind and knowledge, he somehow knows that he is now allowed a second pick from the deck, if he so chooses.

Feanol, the frail elven mage, barely able to carry herself up to the box, takes her pick in front of Elnaerel, finding an extremely interesting plaque pop out of the deck for her.

The once weak and sickly elf, with all manner of health issues from her past, suddenly feels much more invigorated. The color returns to her cheeks and her once boney appearance is instantly altered quite noticeably. Though still unable to rip doors from their frames, for the first time in her life Feanol feels like she has the strength to concur anything she faces. (+3 STR)

What a perfect match. This was possibly the best pick for her that you could have received. :D

Keg looks at the card and feels.... off... Just not right. Sure of himself, but not right. I say, I feel quite queer after that... I feel like I should draw another...
