All other cameras gone, along with our paint, Our comms array is standing with no damage. Nothing left on the skin, I will be working on the hole and access to the bridge, fixing the temp patch on the inside.

Also, I'm sure I could win a suit if I started a request for help and claimed salvage rights myself, as I don't have a formal employment contract with the Queen. I am part owner which would muddy the waters significantly. But let's not go down that road if we can help it."

She continues. "I'd like to ask Assana to have a look at the panel and oddity." To be clear, can we see this attachment physically, or just on the information panel?

"Yes. please hire a tug for us. We are going to try an approach, but, if we have problems, we will abandon the approach and let the tug bring us in. Also, coordinate with Pranit about the panel. He's handling the repairs."

The attachment is a small box - about 3cmx3cmx3mm with a sticky pad on the back and a cable plugged in to the main data bus and another to the power line. You can't really see it unless you have half the panel's bits out.

From her questions and demeanour it seems she has determined that he really isn't someone of interest in her enquiries. When we get landed, I still need to talk to those aboard when the ship was last operational. What they were doing then was linked to what is happening now. What I don't understand is how Noor is caught up in this. You are clear caught up because you are here. But someone sought Noor out - twice. After the attack on this ship, I don't think the stance of treating these as two investigations will fly

The discussion takes some time - but with perseverance, you finally manage to get the price down from the outlandish Cr10,000 (unrealistic) to Cr5,000 (more realistic) and finally Cr4500 - Cr500 up-front and the rest payable if the tug has to actually lift-off. Obviously you'll need the Captain's permission to use ship's funds - although you could use your own money!

The three Captains that you talk to all want the low-down on "What's going on at the North pole", and the final discount is only given on the basis that "You're that ship that got attacked, aren't you".
