Kaerin just hosted dinner for you while all the information was given to you by the Baron and himself.

On the Road Again the group sets out from Kaerin's home and heads back towards Stallenford. After a good two to three hours travel the group decides it is best to set up a camp for the night, as sunlight is dwindling and it soon will be dark out. They find a location that looks like merchants use just off the road in a clearing as a campsite. Having gotten whatever materials the group needed to replenish before leaving they set up a camp and determine watch shifts for the evening other than those that require all night to study spells.

Actions?

please state who is on what watch shift please and I will roll for encounters.

Watch Shift Encounters:

The first watch shift comes and goes with nothing special, some random wildlife is spotted but nothing that comes near enough your camp to worry about. Second shift however Elanriel spots movement coming towards the camp and as it gets closer she smells a distinct odor of rotting garbage and she recalls this is the odor of goblins. Though she cannot make out a very large number this appears to be only a few scouts potentially checking on the camp for a raiding party possibly. 2nd watch time of day is midnight to 2 am. Elanriel is on watch for an hour before she spots the goblins. Elanriel wakes Xlore being the next up for watch. Trist also stirs having only just ended her watch an hour or two ago.

Elanriel

"Goblinth," Elanriel whispers, gesturing out into the darkness in the direction of the movement. "Not many. Maybe a thcouting party? What do you think we thhould do?"

She's ready to defend the others and further raise the alarm if the goblins try anything.

Trist

Trist whispers a reply to Elanrien,
I'll wake the others quietly. Better to be ready than not, in case this is more than it is.
Trist wakes the others quietly so they can help if needed and tells each quietly, "A goblin party approaches."

Spells Trist scribed into her book at the end of the last chapter/beginning of Chapter 5 and memorized. Note Armor spell active for Trist from last chapter.

Armor - [1d100]=7 Learn Spell 85% or lower is good.

Feather fall - [1d100]=11 Learn Spell 85% or lower is good.

For Egon DN Percentile Die Rolls [1d100]=1 = pass. Egon hears the loud crunching of 3-4 goblins coming towards the camp and the others on alert during and between watch shifts. yes leather, and hide armors are probably the most feasible to stay in and be able to sleep. Egon and those on watch with keen ears can hear the goblins talking back and forth and by the sounds of it they are looking for someone or something, then they bicker and one calls another something profane and sounds like another slaps one of them hard. Then is made out an ow, and why did you do that...all in goblin tongue. yes a bit of the three stooges in these goblin scouts.

Egon

Egon signals 3 or 4, then stays alert as everyone else gets awake/ready. Once everyone is awake and at least armed he will try and sneak towards the goblins to see if he can get a more accurate count and make sure there isn't anything nastier with them.

Trist

Trist telepathically tells Jivet, I know girl.....Let's see how this plays out....in case there's more to this than just these bumbling goblins."

Trist draws her sword quietly and scans 360 degrees in case these goblins are a diversion for something else. Trist gets behind some cover if any is available and keeps Jivet on her shoulder.

Elanriel

Swords ready, Elanriel nods to Trist and keeps watch as Trist wakes the others. When everyone is ready, she moves just out of the circle of the camp and finds some cover, perhaps a tree just off a direct line from the goblins to the camp, and waits there to surprise them if they approach.

Therick, sets his traveling spellbook aside and draws his dagger, checking the campsite's perimeter for any glowing eyes watching them from the darkness outside the camp.

Xlore

Wearing his sneaking boots the High Elf readies his long sword. Quietly following Rex, Xlore whispers "If needed I can help you, these boots make me pretty quiet." The High Elf tries to sneak around keeping a safe distance away from the goblin party while trying to listen to them and gather information about them.
