OOC II
Re: OOC II
Will do.
Re: OOC II
no problems.
Re: OOC II
thirdkingdom, I'm adding to Ardath's equipment as I go. Given his cash, and that I'm not really looking for anything unusual, it should be reasonable. Most everything he brought with, though he gets the horse off-screen. Whatever Newton recommends for the trip will be gotten early in the morning.
Re: OOC II
With the plan to start properly IC tomorrow I'm happy tohand wave the purchasing and travel north, more or less, as TK thinks is best.

Sounds good. There's also a "bank" you can leave with your factor. Outside of the Scarlet Principality, though, you'll need to bring coin (or equivalent) to spend.Leitz wrote: ↑Sun Jun 20, 2021 1:03 pm thirdkingdom, I'm adding to Ardath's equipment as I go. Bank and factor are good, especially if Brixa can have access to what she needs. I'm good with hand-waving stuff and moving forward. The basic premise is that Ardath will get things he knows he needs, and will get whatever Newton recommands. And not much else besides coin for the next settlement.thirdkingdom wrote: ↑Sun Jun 20, 2021 1:07 pmSounds good. There's also a "bank" you can leave with your factor. It is good to be back. Gardo has been silent for too long. He had a lot to say.

Oh, also. I will be onsite today with poor cell reception, so will likely not be able to respond before this evening.

Re: OOC II
Thinking about Gajo - I couldn't find the exact posts where that quest was introduced, only:
The bandit leader Gajo controls the approach into a valley, and there's at least one hundred and fifty, maybe even two hundred of his men there.
Did we think this was out west between Junction and Rocky Peak?

Re: OOC II
What about going after this one?
*The scroll recovered from the troll's lair seems to be a treasure map. It takes him a bit of time, but he finally is able to decipher the smudged ink. Kimrid is labeled to the north, and the road on which they travel is visible. It indicates a village to the east, southeast of Kimrid, and dotted line running west to an "X". The adventurers saw no evidence of a road or trail, so either the map is old, or it just indicates the straightest route. The "X" is called out as being "The Hidden Treasure of the Bandit Queen Datziznaid".

Re: OOC II
I like the idea of looking for the treasure. we are going to need money and magic to take on a dragon, and that village might be out there needing to be reconnected.
There is 1350gp owed on those potions from Jadas in Alice, was that coming out of group funds? We could pay some of it partly from the gems we have in it.

Re: OOC II
Both the Fane and the Bandit queen are west of the road north and not as far west (hopefully) as that dragon. Let's see about both of them at one time.

Re: OOC II
And the lost mine that is listed at 70.44 (or somewhere around 211.138 if I interpret the two maps showing that area correctly) is right near him, I'd be willing to bet.thirdkingdom wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 4:21 pmYup, it was.The_Wanderer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 1:46 pm Thinking about Gajo - I couldn't find the exact posts where that quest was introduced, only:

Re: OOC II
Good point. And as you say then there are then points of interest to the east, including the village to the east on the bandit Queen map.
Re: OOC II
Noted a couple of things that need slight correction. In the big post that The_Wanderer was so awesome in collecting (viewtopic.php?p=486590#p486590), there is an error with the coordinates for Gardo's mine claim. Should be 217.111 (http://www.unseenservant.us/forum/viewt ... 80#p455751).
Also, in checking the maps from the early days to the more recent ones, I think that we might want to update the lost mine listed in the commercial area with an additional hex coordinates saying "(hex 211.138 and surrounding hexes)" unless that is getting too deep in the weeds.
EDIT: Didn't realize I had made a comment on one tab in this thread while I was still typing up the above comment as well. Sorry for the redundancy.

Re: OOC II
Here's a post relevant to Gajo and other bandits. Icen's territory is east of Draea, in the same general direction as the dragon.

If you're interested in hunting bandits around the mines, though, there's a bounty of 5,000 gold alcedes the Baron has placed on the head of Icen Viahere, the Scourge of the North, and bounties of one thousand alcedes each for his four lieutenants, that call themselves the Grey Riders."

Re: OOC II
Is the bandit queens map accurate enough to target a hex to travel to?

It *looks* to be pretty explicit, yes.
