I will say on the pain scale, I'm sitting at about a 5. Two days ago I was sitting at a 10 (or an 11 if you like spinal tap). Literally was face down on the bathroom floor. I cried out with every spasm. Never had anything like that before. Ever. It was crazy.
Anyway, good health all. I'm going for a sedate walk around my block.

Re: OOC & Stuff
You guys are awesome and after a few posts over the weekend, I've gone radio silent...and it's due to end-of-year testing at school. Freaking exhausted by the end of the day and then, like alchemy, there's the back thing. I normally stretch and take a muscle relaxer around dinner...and then usually face-plant by 8 pm.
Hope to update some threads today...hope, being the key word there.
Last day of school is next Thursday, 5/27.
Last work day is June 4. After that...will give in 2 posts a week...maybe more depends on how fast we move along. Definitely not a requirement for daily posting or any crazy shit like that. Like coffee, this is a slow grind and brew. Makes for better coffee

At least there's a light at the end of the tunnel. My wife's a teacher, so I know how hectic end-of-year is even without back pain!

Re: OOC & Stuff
Thank the good Lord above and the devil below!!

Now begins the work days of cleaning out, preparing student folders for next year, and basically saying "kiss my ass" to school year 2020!
My last work day is June 4, but it may be June 2 if I can get everything done.
My goal for the rest of the week is to address your questions in your private forums, bring in the new character for player smithy211, and to update the threads > thank you guys so much for playing. I hope you're having a good time. Things look a little scattered and crazy but threads are coming together and characters are "running into" each other. This gives you the opportunity to work together...or not.

So...about to collapse for the night...hope to do some updates tomorrow and the through the weekend.

I'm slow, sorry for the hold up.
And thanks for the welcome fellows. I wager I know one or two of you from other games.

Dude, you're not holding anything up.
That's the beauty of this particular game.
You can jump in anywhere at anytime and find the beginnings of an adventure.

Re: OOC & Stuff
Hey folks, happy Friday!
I've managed to update a couple of threads...working on something for Oriol, but won't likely get to that until tomorrow.
Done with school for the year!!!
Probably won't be back online until tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Nice!
Dude, I just want to say, the imagery you use in your games is outstanding:
Victoria hurries through the gate, not looking at Bernard or the other guard and almost immediately turns left, along streets that are almost clean enough to eat off of. This is the Upper City...most of you have never been here, although you've heard about it. But, what you have heard does not compare to actually seeing it. Flowers bloom along tree-lined streets, magnificent public sculptures stand alongside multi-storied manor houses beautifully decorated. Climbing gardens, fountained courtyards, and private orchards adorn many of these elegant homes.

Re: OOC & Stuff
Thanks Dave!
I wish I could take full credit for that imagery...but as 'they' say, I've "begged, borrowed, and stole" much of it while adding my own flare. But regardless, I'm hoping it will put a picture in your minds of your surroundings. Over the years I've become a "lazy DM" and that has been okay for the most part.
But...this game is challenging me beyond anything I've ran before...and I'm behind in developing plot lines and backstory. I have an overall view of what is going on and a few things in mind I'd like to see happen, but a lot of it is just reactionary and building on what your characters are wanting to do.
For example, I had no idea Yarl would end up fighting Sylmorn, much less killing him! And now, he's the new Kingpin of Rivington! And...I probably would not have started a thread at the Elfsong Tavern with two characters...had I known both of their players would disappear on me. I had other ideas for introducing Lesh but I figured I'd at least have him meet up with two other characters...but now there's Ambergris and he and Lesh have been doing some fantastic role-playing. So...it's all good, regardless of how we get there.
So, I need to do some work on this game this summer. And finishing two others will make that easier on my time.
Onward!

Re: OOC & Stuff
I have to admit I'm looking forward to the end of one of your games. That will allow me a certain amount of time to focus on this one. I'm hopeful the land of song wraps up sooner than later, as well, although if the party (and dm) get their act together, it might go on indefinitely. Good campaign, tough to manage tho.
Re: OOC & Stuff
I just wondered if your Baldur's Gate maps where from Sirinkman (Jon Stevenson?).
