Weston nods "It would seem careful testing under safe, controlled, conditions is going to be our only means of determining what this wand does. As we don't know how many charges the wand has we shall have to be careful with its use"

Xlore
The High Elf's ears twitched at the word "shazbot" and his eyes bulged. Feeling like all the air in his lungs had been sucked out Xlore took a deep breath. "That word was an exclamation only used by a legendary hero from a bygone era," said Xlore to Weston. Carefully examining the wand the High Elf continued "there were stories about this hero named Mork, the stories never told if he was a human or an elf, but he was a powerful wizard that traveled all over the world. It said that the word 'shazbot' was his calling, as to if it were a start of a spell or just his personal flare no one knows. But what is known is that word belonged to Mork."

Weston looks excited
"I've never heard of this Mork. You must tell me more some time, for the church's records. This wand could be an important find"

The High Elf nods in agreement. "If I could find more written works or at least word-of-mouth stories I would be glad to share. Such stories shouldn't be forgotten."

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Saying the word Weston sees the wand make some sparks and detects an aura of magic on all the same items that were mentioned by the travelling merchant wizard. Along with other items already known to be magical, along with the tablet the merchant has and some of his other items such as his hat. (accidental discharge of wand charge.)

Weston
"Well, that answers that question, it detects magic. Best we don't say that word anywhere near it as it appears to be triggered by proximity, most unusual"

Fizbam chuckles "Just be glad it wasn't a wand of fireballs or something more dangerous."

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Kaerin clears his throat "Alright well now back to business thank you for your services Fizbam. Do you folks require any further services from the travelling merchant wizard at this time? he asks. Waiting for responses eventually he also says "I have noticed the looks some of you have given me I know when you went below to the basement I wasm issing an arm the good Baron Sherlane helped with that problem."
Baron Sherlane nods his head "Clerical and Wizardly magic was needed to aid Kaerin." he says rather to the point.
Kaerin back to the business "If you were wondering about the tiara and sword I sent you to get, I needed them, in some personal matters. The tiara was to gift to someone I have been courting."
Baron Sherlane notices the looks on some some are giving "You may be wondering what I am Baron of. I am the ruler of Threshold, a major town west of the River Shutturgal, some 40 miles northwest from Penhaligon. Which I need to get back too as soon as I can. Threshold is under attack from goblins and orcs according to reports I received earlier. Kaerin I suggest you stay with Lady Arteris for safety until the assassin who posed as your butler is captured. I do have certain political worries at the present time. But must take me leave as soon as possible. You all should also take your leave to start searching for the queen's keep."
Kaerin nods to the Baron "I'll do that Baron." turning to the adventurers "The only advice I have is to head northward. The
obvious route to take is to Stallanford, cross the river there, and strike out for the Black Peak Mountains. The keep is somewhere in the Black Peak Mountains."

Trist
Trist asks ,”What of this ring from the mage?”
Trist examines the ring a bit after its identification
Trist grabs a longsword and 10 flight arrows. If no one claims the potions or the 60 pp and 50 gp she does so for the party.

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Trist looking at the ring sees no words or inscription.
Fizbam "I can identify it but it'll take a while to do so about a day. Plus cost about a hundred gold pieces."

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Fizbam looks to Kaerin and the Baron Sherlane "Well do you have some place to stay? Or where shall I find you? I could always sell you the components." the merchant wizard offers.
Sherlane and Kaerin look as if time is of the essence "It is not safe to stay here for now. one of them finally says.

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Fizbam eye widen "Well I'll have to go out to my wagon to get the supplies but yes I think I can do that can you afford 400 gold pieces? he asks looking to the Baron and Kaerin to hope he has not offended or overstepped. They look at him as if he is in the right.
