Lost Dungeon Exploration [2d6] = 3

Snake moves from the deep pit to the elementals lair...

Dueling [2d6] = 7

...and barely survives the encounter.

Not sure if that means I move out of the dungeon right away or not, but here is a roll if that is indeed the case.

WW8 [2d6] = 7

Running like a madman, SnakeEyes rushes due south down the central path, hoping to eventually find the Ancient Ruins.

I got a collection of the complete works from Lovecraft and Howard for Christmas, so that's what Ill be reading for the next 10 years or so. :lol:

Grog #4 - AR 4, 11. Blue Warrior Kothar

OgreMage #6 - LD 3,7 defeats monster. Black Warlock SnakeEyes

Samson/DA and SnakeEyes/OM battle their way out of the Lost Dungeon, and Kothar similarly in the Ancient Ruins! Throll/Norjax falls into a pit trap, loosing 2 turns.

The quest continues for 2d6! Remember to state your directions if you have options.

Samson/DA and SnakeEyes/OM, your warlocks are exiting the Lost Dungeon so it is from there your roll movement will commence. OM you can use your pre-emptive roll 7, or formally roll again for Turn 9.

Kothar's horse can't wait to leave the Ancient Ruins WW T9 Kothar [2d6] = 12 Heading up the north (middle) trail.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the sword and sorcery reading matter of our group :) I remember reading Zelazny and Lovecraft in high school and Howard in middle school. I occasionally dip into HPL and REH now and then. I actually tend to read more science fiction than fantasy these days. Among my fantasy favorites are M. Moorcock, RE Howard, D. Gemmel, F. Leiber, A. McCaffrey, O.S. Card, T. Brooks. I'm kind of stuck in the older period of SF/F literature, not having read too much contemporary works.

I really dig the artwork of the old pulp paperbacks. I’m not a fan of the modern flashy style of most fantasy art.

The majority of modern fantasy art is digitally produced and lacks the nuances of traditional mediums that produce engaging variations within.

Turn 9 Continued

Throll/Norjax is trapped for 2 turns in the Lost Dungeon, so no roll is needed.

Warrior and warlock clash for the hand of Princess Penelope! With illustrious alliteration that would make Stan Lee proud, Boris defeats Samson. I realize that Boris/Mant rolled for his duel, but not turn 9 movement. Though Samson used his magic spell to transport Boris to the warlock’s space, once the duel is resolved Boris still gets his move.

Boris won the duel and can move Samson back or forward one space, and Boris himself one space opposite. Keep in mind an arrow space means you move 2 spaces forward. After this victory movement, Boris’ normal Turn 9 movement would occur. Here is a picture of where the two are prior to you making the victory move decision:

Hey Grog,

If I choose to move Samson forward, he will land on the arrow which will make him move two forward to land on another arrow. Will this sequence lead him into the Dismal Swamp to lose a turn? Slippery slope indeed... :biggrin:

Kothar passes through the dismal swamp, unknowingly close to Samson and Boris and princess Penelope. SnakeEyes travels south on the trail to the Ancient Ruins, while Rex journeys north to the Lost Dungeon. The very place in which Throll attempts to escape the trap.
