Randleman: The Die Roller hates us, sir.
Winters: The Die Roller does not hate your party, Private Randleman. It hates all of the Unseen Servant.
Randleman: Thank you, sir.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Hey Urson,
The good news is that you made your Ability Check vs Dex. You had to roll lower than your Dex of 9. A 3 is a success. :)

I don't know WTF is going on with me- maybe it's cause I went back to work Monday after about 2 months of being off. I'm just not tracking stuff in-game very well.
Thanks for repeatedly keeping me sorted out, Inferno!

Psh, all good, I get it. I was just starting to get unbefuddled (yeah it's a word, prove it ain't! ) by the loss of being able to keep track of day and time because I was on WFH status, when my work did the "okay come back onsite on Tuesdays, only!" Now I'm back to completely befuddled again!
Last night I went nuts because I got a text of the mom of one of the cases from my second job "what's the Zoom link again for the session?" about 5 minutes before the session time. But I wasn't preparing for the kid's session! The missus was upstairs lying down (after a long couple of HS graduation busyness for the oldest) and my bedroom is really the only private/"office" space in my home. So the oldest and I are running around rearranging her an her sisters, figuring out a (HIPAA compliant) space for me to do the session, as I'm throwing a button up shirt over my ratty "when the DM smiles" tee. I start the computer up to log into the shared Zoom account and realize, I have the room reserved for this kid on Thursdays!! Ugh, red faces for me and the kid's mom, mockage from my two oldest girls, and a deep breath. But that was a compounded loss of knowing what day it was!
These are just wacky times, and I refuse to believe they are the new normal! :D

Wow- you've definitely got it harder!

And I'm with you- I refuse to _Let_ this be the 'New Normal'. Some good things came out of the Quarantine, but they came packed in a lot of insanity.

Why is Ingrid deafened now? She wasn't deafened previously.
She needed to close with X1 in order to strike it with her mace. (see map detail of my last DM post) Last round, she moved 10 feet to the SW and attacked. That placed her into the AoE.

Fyi, PCs may move 1" in a combat round and still attack or cast a spell.

So this round, she can move 1" to the NE, past the veil of silence, and heal Jerome.

Given Jerome's weight in armor, I'll assume that Brevos, seeing Jerome awake, will no longer plan to carry the paladin.

Should we try and regroup the party and fight those 3 Lords of Evil? Doesn't look good for either group :)

Well crap! That's worse that I thought, and I read the darn thing twice... must read again though. I thought Mouser and Rudolf were closer to Urdur, but we are definitely the most likely to die. Urdur definitely needs to continue on! Amity was the goal, and he has a chance. My first thought was the hobbit making a last stand at the end of the bridge there to protect his Urdur's escape, but it's more likely fighting for our lives no matter which way we go. If I roll that 01% and survive this puppy, it's definitely time to stock up on Holy Water! :D Rudolf will rededicate himself to Yondalla, and continue on out, as best he can. Not sure there is another option.

Okay, serious questions (I know your shocked ;) ):
* Short sword casts 15' of light?
* If Urdur gets attacked by undead, say on his back or something, is a charge an option if we are already running?

So, you don't want to be further along than you are, you just want your pal to be less further along than he is?

Urdur's movement is 12", reduced due to the precious burden he bears.
Mouser and Rudolf (and Brevos and Telkis) move at 9".
Urdur had a head start, having begun the flight.

Yes 15 feet.
Any PC may charge once per 10 rounds, and once they attack (or once they are successfully hit) they are in a melee. I hope that answered your question.

Yeah, that does. And if Rudolf is engaged first, then no chance to charge forward to help Urdur. But if Urdur needs help and Rudolf is unengaged, it can be done. Okay, it helps my brain, thanks!
