Hail!
Hail!
I hope everyone is doing well.
I have had a lot of experience on various play by post forums using different board systems.
I started roleplaying in the early 90s and I cut my teeth on Vampire: the Masquerade 2nd edition, AD&D Second Edition, and West End Games d6 system. Since then I have played all different types of games with different systems including various LARPS. Currently I am enjoying the family of OSR games.
I am also the author of an active gaming blog that can be found http://www.flintlocksandwitchery.blogspot.com

Re: Hail!
Hey Shenron, hail and well met!
Your list of games fits this forum pretty well, 2E has been a staple here forever, our Star Wars WEG d6 game is the oldest one running and we just started some V:tM games!
Your history fits us well too,
Welcome and hope you get into a game soon!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Re: Hail!
Thanks for the warm welcome. I have not played in a WOD game or a Star Wara game in many moons. I actually have not played in a pbp game in awhile as well.
I have also published some games and have done some guest writing in others.

Excellent. Glad to have your expertise then! We've got other creators here, and lots of creativity.
Unseen Servant is a great place to jump back into PbP gaming. It's a simple forum format, which the DMs here work wonders with, and the membership is pretty supportive and accepting of new folks and learning curves. Plus, it's PbP, so the pacing allows anyone to catch up quick. Hope you find a game soon!

That is great. It is also good to meet with other creators.
I am used to proboards but I am getting the hang of this pretty quickly. Knocking the rust off so to speak. I was actually invited to these boards by another user I met on discord.

When am I able to post in other threads? I am still locked out of the game threads.

Re: Hail!
Short answer: Players need to be manually added to games by the DM before they can post in them.
But, one of our highly knowledgeable and super awesome mods will be along here shortly to fill you in on any of the technical stuff.

Thank you. I am a fan. Back in the day I used to have a cool Dracula one that was quoted from someone else.

Re: Hail!
Welcome, Shenron! I feel like you'll fit in great here.
You should have the ability to post in any of the general forums, but will need to be granted permission to post in any of the individual games. Your best bet will be to scour the 'Looking for players or games' topic and express any interest you have as a response to those individual recruitment posts. You should also feel free to reach out to a GM directly; everyone here is pretty helpful, and welcoming.

Re: Hail!
As a veteran member of the boards, OM has this correct. Each DM is the Moderator of their forums. As soon as they approve you, and add you into their games, you should be able to post.OGRE MAGE wrote:Short answer: Players need to be manually added to games by the DM before they can post in them.
